This bag is really beautiful and well made. This is the cheapest bag that I found made of real leather suitable for work. The strap is the perfect length to stay on your shoulder with a coat/hoodie. It has compartments suitable for a laptop or work essentials. The leather is so beautifully soft and better than some of my designer bags. I collect luxury bags and this is a fantastic cheaper addition. It smells beautiful also. Really happy with this bag.

I just received this today so this review will be based on initial impressions. This bag is really beautiful. I'd read the positive reviews before buying it but had to see it in person to believe it was this nice for only £38. As anyone knows, a bag of this size in genuine calfskin for that price is unheard of. Whoever says this isn't genuine leather though doesn't know what they're talking about, because it smells very strongly of calfskin and looks and feels like real leather--believe me I know my skins! The wine red colour is stunning, and subtle enough to match with any outfit for daily use. It's a bag big enough for all of my sh*t and believe me, I have a lot of that. However it's not too big as to be unwieldy or hard to carry. I plan to carry my laptop, planner, documents, and personal items in it for work and travel. The two shorter straps are even adjustable for the perfect shoulder bag, but I also love the long strap for cross body wear. And the compartments! So many useful little compartments on this thing! An open slip pocket in the front, a more secure zip pocket in the back, a middle zip compartment, a phone pocket, a card pocket, another little inner slip pocket and two hidden interior compartments on either side. I can't wait to make this my go-to bag for everyday use. Five stars!

This is a fabulous bag for me. It has the things I love like longer handles that can go over bulky winter clothing, spacious and with the compartments and pockets I want to organise my stuff. I ordered brown and it’s s a lovely colour that I would probably call tan - goes with almost anything. Why have I knocked a star off then? It’s because I am not 100% convinced that it’s leather. Although to fair the description does say it is “split cow leather” which is a legitimate low grade of leather which is not as hard wearing as better grades. There is no smell from the bag. No fishy smell from the interior lining others have mentioned (of course a good thing) and certainly no smell of leather. Also I agree with what others say about the closing zip not being centred. That is odd. And I also agree that the interior of the bag which is held on by rivets allows you to put your hand between the lining and the outer shell of the bag. If you want to be positive you could call this extra pockets! Because I have searched high and low for a big which suits my needs as much as this one I will keep it but if it’s not real leather it will be an expensive purchase!

Initially bought this for work as it’s a good size to take A4 docs or pads, but I was a bit dubious about the claim that it was real leather due to the price. Well, I can happily confirm that it is real leather, and it’s a very well made, quality item and looks really smart and professional (in my opinion)! The outer leather is sturdy and shiny and after a few months of use, becomes softer. The inner skin isn’t lined with nylon fabric, so you can see the natural suede of the outer leather. The base is really sturdy and the sides don’t collapse into themselves whilst resting on the floor. Plenty of large pockets (the inner pockets are lined with quality cotton) with an inner zip up pocket). Comes with a long, removable shoulder strap but I find the fitted straps to be perfectly adequate as the opening makes it easy to dip and out of it for my purse or phone without having to take the bag off my shoulder. The only slight negative is that it smelled a bit ‘fishy’ when new, but that disappeared after a bit, I expect it’s something to do with the tannin process. Love this bag!

Finally a leather bag with huge shoulder straps! I have been looking for a large handbag with long shoulder straps for ages! I find that when I have to start wearing a winter coat I cannot get the straps comfortably on my shoulder and any short handled bag just irritates the hell out of me! So I was pleasantly surprised by this one. It is incredibly roomy inside with a zip up center partition in the middle of the bag and a large conpartments either side. I also love that this bag has a zipped top which helps me not worry about pickpockets who could easily slip a hand inside an open shopper. There are also two conceiled compartments either side of the main section plus the standard zipped pocket and 2 x open pouches inside. The bag is soft and not stiff at all and it has ajustable shoulder straps as well as a long strap for cross body wear. I can fit all of my rubbish in with loads of room left! And it doesn't weigh my shoulder down. Feels very comfortable. I'm really pleased, so much so I may have to get the wine one next!

After reading the reviews for this bag I decided to order it and I’m so glad I did. It’s absolutely beautiful! The quality of the leather is stunning. I got the lighter brown one and it’s a gorgeous tan colour. It’s really soft but strong. The size is great and will be perfect for my new job. Inside it has 3 large compartments, one with a zip in the middle, and it has a smaller zip compartment. It also has a zip at the top of the bag, so everything is really safe. I’m honestly so impressed with the quality for the price of this bag. It really looks like a much more expensive bag in my opinion.

Really disappointed. This bag is really beautiful, size, look and colour. So why have I given it one star? It does not smell of leather, but it does smell fishy inside. I have a genuine concern that the smell will not fade away with use, so I have had to return it.

Delivered, very well packaged, ahead of time. This is a quality leather bag with a real classic look. The rich brown colour of the bag was true to the product photographs and really lifted the overall look of the bag. Very well constructed and finished purchased as a present the recipient was delighted. A great buy.
