Easy to setup
My easy setup process to use as a WiFi APPower it upConnect to the default ip address192.168.2.1Login with default admin & adminChange the followingStatic ip address to match your networkMost networks are 192.168.1 …. Not 192.168.2 ….I use static ip so I can easily find it rather than guessing what dhcp has allocated in networkChange web login id away from admin & admin in toolsChange wireless ssid and keyI most circumstances make sure guest login is offDon’t follow quick setup, just leave as AP unless you want specific settings from list in quick setupThe only negative I found was that the POE inserter plug power was very limited and if used with cat6 cable of 30M length is insufficient to power AP and it will cycle through startup process, this can be seen from leds cycling. I used another POE brick and all was good.Throughput, connection and stability is good.A second unit is not needed for AP mode only if point to point mode is used.

Probably not what you are looking for!
I purchased this item based on the first part of the description. After reading the instructions I immediately requested a refund. The Amazon description:【500m+ Wireless Data Transmission】O1 integrates with a 8dBi directional antenna to provide an optimized transmission quality. It picks up and maintains a stable signal for a wireless network connection ranging up to 500 meters. It is total lies. The instructions make it clear that TendaO1 is not capable for use in wireless repeater mode!!Apparently I need to purchase TendaO3 for that facility!!What the description is actually telling you is that the device can connect to your existing wifi and give you one ethernet connectionto a single device. If you want extended wifi then you need to purchase two of these devices. Even then, you still only have wired ethernet at the other end!Effectively it is a wifi bridged ethernet connection! So probably not what you are looking for!

Seems ok for short distance , 4 stars as haven’t tested long term yet
The media could not be loaded. Using for converting Wi-Fi to wired network into a network switch , have not had it running long term

Perfect for creating an outdoor WiFi zone
Bought this to create a WiFi zone in a certain area of a large residential building where it would otherwise be impossible for a standard broadband router to reach. This access point creates a WiFi zone for my 3 CCTV cameras to connect to.All I needed was a 30m long standard CAT5 cable from the router to this device and then plug it in. Quick guided setup allowed me to create the WiFi zone and make it secure.

Easy setup
Works brilliantly. Picks up and converts WiFi signal to Ethernet for a farm building 300m away. Hasn’t dropped connection since installed. Very happy.

At least it wasn't a lot of money to waste
I thought that this might work better as a point to point over 50m. My beam-forming cheap router did better from indoors, through a metre thick stone wall. I can see why they didn't bother to make the mounting even a little adjustable - as it really isn't that directional in the horizontal or vertical plane. It's not going to be weather-proof enough for Devon, anyway. No seals on the hinge-up socket cover at the bottom. No seals in the sockets themselves. Look IP65 means no harmful effects from water vapour and water ingress, what's sea air going to do to that power socket, with no rubber seal? What's it going to do to the exposed LAN socket? To the wiring in the LAN connector? In WISP mode, does it indicate signal strength with those 3 LEDs? No it doesn't. Instead of doing anything useful like that - it just flashes all three.Well, you know what the say - buy cheap, buy often.
