Mount the metal bracket with the U- shaped channel in "up" position at correct height (Google search , official dartboard heights), either directly to the wall or attach to a backer board (recommended to protect wall) which can then be hung like a picture frame. Lastly, the mounting screw is driven into the center of board (by hand) so that the screw head has enough clearance to slide into U-channel snugly so board will not move . There are usually spacer tabs which can be tapped into place on backside edges of board with small tack hammer. (clock positions;12, 3, 6, 9, etc) Note When pulling darts from board it's always good to place hand against board to stabilize so not to pull board away from wall, etc.

Am considering purchasing this for my 14 year old grandson. Is this board "too professional" for a novice? Should I be looking for a different level?

Yes this is too “professional”. The double and triple sections are very small and are usually used for advanced dart players that want a challenge when practicing or playing. I would buy a regular board , not a “practice” board.

Great board ! I practice a lot and this has been of great help in improving my game.Only problem i have had is with the darts hitting the wires and staples. As far as i am concerned Nodor is the best...this is my second board. I wish you guys would make a practice board wirh the razor thin internal wire system like some of your competitors have done.Love my board. Thanks.
