Microeconomics Analysis 3e

Product sold as new without any reference to it being used, having parts of the cover and back pages blacked-out with permanent marker... Overall not a paperback option but a used cheap version.And to makes things worse, this is directly sold by Amazon, so they cannot hide behind some shady marketplace seller. An import from India marked for sale at 695 rupees (roughly £7) and sold as a proper paperback in the UK for £25.I am assuming some will say that one could have known this by reading at the reviews etc, but this is not always possible. The way in whcih the product is presented is clearly misleading. Very, very disappointed

I supposed to receive a new book. But it arrived in bad conditions, with marker hiding I do not know what information, the interior dirty, with a page bad cut and the borders and corners bent.

There is a substantial problem with this edition that there are missing pages from 280 to 297. Therefore, in fact there is no use of chapters 15 and 16, which are on Game Theory and Oligopoly.

The cover is just a piece of paper that is not even attached. AWFUL quality!

Textbook

The book may cover the relevant topics for a graduate course, however it does not make clear the concepts covered, it overcomplicates the concepts with mathematical notations which replace the intuition which should have been built up, leaving the reader feeling lost, and to make matters worse does not have examples to fill this gap in knowledge!However, it can be said it's good for referencing, but not as a book to learn from. Varian is lucky to get a 2star from me, I was feeling generous! Very poor.

This book is good as an intro to micro concepts.It doesn't have hardly any mathematical solution, which is needed for final year study.To my best knowledge there isn't any advanced micro text book, that combines both theory and maths together. You have to pick topics and work it out for yourself. Someone will end up writing a complete book one day.
