Only works on some slugs, snails don't care
Doesn't work on snails. Stops about 70% of slugs I'd say. Snails are not affected by it that I see. I tried a good test with both. Going to try smashed glass, salt and glue next time. Or electric deterrent

Really never worked for us
Never really worked for us....maybe our slugs are superhuman and flew to the top of our pots......nothing seems to stop them. More drastic measures are needed we think.

Doesn’t stay on for long
I was happy with this tape at first. No sign of any snail’s or slugs. But I noticed a few days ago that the tape on one plant pot had fallen off, and is no longer of any use.

Ok
This ok, nothing more nothing less. You get what you pay for. Has corroded quickly (within a week) so the snails are back and have lost our 🌻 leaves. Now trying eggshells or another natural remedy as I don’t want to hurt the snails, just stop them from eating our plants!

Worked okay could be stickier.
It's a good product but didn't stop every slug/snail from getting in the plant bed, also after a little while the adhesive stopped sticking.

Beware of overhanging plants
It's been good weather for slugs. Plenty of opportunities to observe them as they munch their way through my african marigolds. I tried slug pellets and standing pots on sandpaper. It didn't work very well. Then I saw the copper tape here on Amazon and decided to try it.I put the tape around the flower pots and the raised bed. It looked rather gaudy, but dulled after a couple of days. After a rainy night the flower pots were slug free, but I found a slug inside the raised bed where it caused some damage. It was now trying to get out of the flower bed, but could not cross the copper tape. It's a mystery how the slug got into the raised bed. Perhaps it was there already when I put the tape down. Or more likely it got in from surrounding plants. They probably bent down and touched the raised flower bed with the wind and rain....Few days later... ...Having checked for slugs every morning for a few days, I can tell you that each morning there was a great big fat slug in my raised flower bed. Although I have seen slugs unsuccessfully trying to cross the copper tape, I am certain that some slugs do manage it.

the strip did not deter the slugs at all.
i have a problem with slugs squeezing through the tiny gap in the middle of my patio doors, even when they are closed, but they just climb over the copper tape to gain entry !they are completely fearless, which has resulted in a horrible brown residue which is left behind after my husband has had to drag them out with a small sharp metal hook. a very messy business !however, i have found that a substantial layer of salt beneath their entrance has had the desired effect so we no longer have the problem, but i am sure the copper tape will come in handy for something else.
