Do these need to stay in the fridge?

No they just need to stay in a cool dark place. cupboard would do.

Did previous customers gain or loose weight on these probiotics? l. gasseri is for weight loss, but l. acidophilus is for gain.

These were not bought for weight control, neither gain nor loss. They were bought to help aid the gut. Person using them has IBR and these appeared to help.
