Much slimmer than the OEM case, still sturdy
Pros:PriceSizeDurability & ProtectionCons:Smelly (at first!)Overall Thoughts:I am a big fan of this case. It was quite inexpensive and is much slimmer than the OEM case (this was important for me, as I travel frequently and space is typically at a premium). It has done an excellent job of protecting my steam deck on multiple international trips and still looks brand new. The only negative I can think of is the rather overwhelming chemical smell that the case exuded when I first unboxed it. I set it out on my porch for a day and the smell was gone, so it's a minor gripe and does not alter my recommendation.

Perfect choice if you have a grip on your Steam Deck
This is a slim case for use if you run a grip on your Steam Deck but want the slimmest case possible. It is very rigid just like the original deck case, but with just enough extra room on the perimeter of the device for a deck with a grip on it. If it was the deck by itself, it would have play (wiggle room) in the case. If you are carrying the deck in a grip, it is a perfect fit. Not tight, zipper close perfectly. So rigid - yet slim and form fitting. Couldn't ask for better. This is not a case for extras / charger / etc, this is for the handheld by itself, in a grip case specifically. For that there is no better optino. Blue color looks great in person. VERY well made.

Slim and Sturdy
The standard Steam Deck case is fine, but very bulky. This case maintains the hard-ish shell while being much slimmer. No room for the charging brick on the back though, and it's not quite as snug as the official case, so the deck wobbles inside a bit. Overall I like it. I'll be using it primarily for travel when space in my backpack or suitcase is at a premium.

Exactly what I’ve been looking for.
This fits my Deck in its silicone shell perfectly. There’s no room for accessories, but I didn’t want that. I don’t always carry them and when I do, I have a separate mini case for them. This feels like enough to protect the Deck while it’s bouncing around in my purse. I think it could handle some moderate drops as well. Wouldn’t help if you stepped on it though - it’s not like a combat- ready thing. It’s exactly what I wanted, and I feel that this case + the silicone shell = better than average protection. And I love the wrist strap, which I felt was a stupid omission on the case that came with it.I’d recommend this one.

Great slim case to fit in Sling bags!
I love that this slim case reduces space when you want to put this in smaller carry-on items like a sling bag. The official case case is too bulky to fit in smaller bags. This Tombert case is sturdy, made of nice material, and looks good in blue. Highly recommend !

Great sized but HOLY OUTGASSING
Great case. Love the reduced size as compared with the original. Only thing is that the outgassing takes many days to become moderately less smelly. If it doesn’t stop smelling in a few more days I’ll have to return it.

Like some of the other reviewer said - It Stinks, literally.
The case itself was just fine. $10 for a case so I wasn't expecting a ton but the smell of the case is really bad. It's been airing out for a couple weeks and it still smells bad. Your deck will smell like it, and especially any microfiber cloth you keep in there. I contacted the seller and they said it was a manufacturing defect. Spend a little more and get a better case.

Near a tomtoc
It’s actually pretty nice, near a tomtoc case (which has been sold out). Not quite the same quality as tomtoc but for the price it’s a worthwhile buy. Also has enough room inside to keep a fill wrap around silicone case on the steam deck
