Tibetan Mantras

Extremely useful meditation.........

The preciousness of this CD cannot be completely expressed until you have it in hand and play it for the first time.. It is just a joy to have CD that plays a mantra with music and repeats it 108 times. Which is the number of beads on a mala, a string of beads used for repetition of the mantras. Deva Premal adds her sublimely zephyrean voice to the deep cords of the Gyoto Monks, her voice drifts in and up and softens at times so movingly you can't get enough of it. I have given away so many of these I think I am constantly without mine. I hope she does another just like it with Mahayana mantras as this is my traditions and I am sure it would sell as well as this.The Monks are so full base and vibrato and holds me down to the earth. I cannot say enough about this CD.. If you like mantras particularly the well love Om Mane Pame Hum or the White Tara is my favorite. This CD is sublime and a must have..

I had a unmarked copy of the recording for many years and have been searching for the name of the recording, which I finally found after about six years. I love this recording. Definitely worth buying a mp3 copy and the CD. The instrumental lines added are nice, not too intrusive, but would be even more appropriate if toned down more as the original mantras are more bare and stark. Too much elaboration takes away the authenticity while more subtle enhancements enriches the mantras. Wish the high lines are muted more, I think it overpowers the original base of the monks' voices too much and the balance of highs and lows are unbalanced. Mid range missing for a better balance. I think it was just shy of to a little too much westernization in a couple of mantras, but overall, beautifully done. Love number 3: Purification. Gives me the goosebumps and sends me into lalaland almost every time.

Absolutely love this CD! I have been practicing Tibetan Buddhism for 7 years and listen to this all day at work, in my car. And when I'm not listening to it, I'm chanting them in my head. With the mantras of Chenrezig, Vajrasattva, Shakyamuni Buddha, the Heart Sutra, Manjushri, Medicine Buddha, and Zambala, this CD contains so many of the major mantras of Tibetan Buddhism. Premal's ethereal voice weaves a beautiful web and provides a stark contrast with the guttural chanting of the monks in the background. While this is certainly not for everyone, this is one CD that I will listen to for as long as I live :-) As long as time remains, as long as space remains, may I too remain, to dispel the suffering of the world...

These mantras make me cry and affect me in a very deep heart way, I can't describe it very well. But they feed my soul, I know that. The sky where I am right now is crying, too, very beautiful and congruent with my own soul feelings. I always love Deva Premal and Miten and Manose, but these are by far the deepest and most heartfelt - I might add "Don't listen to these while driving," like various meditation guides do with many recorded meditations, but I think I will risk it myself and definitely listen while driving, as well as other times. Caution: change may occur :-) LOVE THIS!!! Having said all that and feeling it deeply, I realize this will not be to everyone's taste, not even to all Deva Premal fans...

Fast shipping and arrived in perfect condition. This CD is full of beautiful meditation mantras. I really enjoy it.

Wonderful edition! A really divine work!

I LOOOOOVE deva premal and I love chanting. I can listen to this album on my own, but I bought it to play in my yoga classes (I'm a full time yoga teacher) and I found the monk chanting a little too "off the grid" for this purpose. I will keep it for personal use, but if you plan to play it for a mixed group, be warned.

Fabulous, fabulous, fabulous. The first time I heard this CD I onus it a big strange. The second time, I liked it a lot more. Now I absolutely love it and often go to sleep listening to it.

This music would only appeal to certain people, but it is very soothing

I really like this CD. I listen to it before I go to bed and I often fall asleep before it finishes. The chants have a very calming effect.
