Cute and Practical
I had seen the Ikea leaf hack for office spaces on a reddit thread and the link for this product came up.At first I thought I might prefer the green one and was just buying this one for the hardware, but the light blockage is so effective and the black makes such a goth effect, I think I'm gonna keep this one!The setup process was a little confusing to me and may have been easier as a two-person job, but it's honestly mostly due to a skill issue on my part. The instructions were easy to understand, it just took some extra muscle and trial and error until I figured it out.I recommend this for anyone with overhead fluorescent or otherwise bright light sensitivity and even for outdoor spaces where the weather is mild (I don't think this thing can take a windstorm or anything, but it may work for a beach day, outdoor party, or picnic as well).Overall, I am very happy with the seller and product, A+!

Don't always pay attention to the shape of the materials.
I am so far enjoying the leaf because it blocks the bright light from my eyes since I suffer from migraines. A couple of reasons why I gave it a 4 star rating. First of all, the shape of the materials, such as the part that attaches to the desk, didn't match the pictures and it led me to initially believe that I was missing a part. If I hadn't watched the video, I would've wasted time doing an exchange. As you can see in my picture, it doesn't have the round knob that shows in the instructions (I threw them away, sorry) that I had gotten. Another reason why I gave it a 4 star rating is that, although it's so minor, there are the slight holes in the leaf where the trimming is. You can see the light coming through in the pic. But again, it doesn't negatively impact me, so don't allow this to prevent a purchase but it's good feedback for the manufacturer. Also, it was kind of annoying to put together lol. Lastly, it's a bit stiff in the sense where it's not the easiest thing to adjust the position because of where the leaf connects to the pole attached to the desk. Otherwise, love it and worth it!

Help with extraordinarily cold-colored florescent lighting
I worked from home for four years, in my basement. During that time, I built an office there. My son and I had just installed a fireplace, it was perfect. It still is. But then I got a great new opportunity... in an office building. Everything there is blue or white, and the lighting temperature is probably in the ultraviolet (8000K+) it's so cold and bright...I started work on the 29th of April and immediately began searching for something to mitigate the stressful effect of the light. Some things I can't and don't want to do -- for instance, covering the ceiling lights with something -- they're everyone's ceiling lights, and not everyone hates the blue light like I do...On the 2nd of May (Thursday after I started there) I purchased this shade. It arrived quickly and I installed it the next working day. Installation took a little longer than you'd expect (still only about 20 minutes) because I had to cut stitching that had closed up the sockets on one side of the shade, but I had a razor blade handy so it was not an issue.Three months later, the shade provides exactly what I need and really, it enables me to work where I work without the stress cold florescent lighting causes. I also bought a Tiffany lamp for my desk, and it provides warm light that, when contrasted with my office walls, is sort-of like a warm fire. Then I put a mirror behind the lamp (vs. buying a second lamp) to help amplify the warmth.Overall, the strategy works, and without this shade it would not. It attaches to the desk by a clamp, and is easily moved or adjusted. I have moved it once, but just once. Overall, I highly recommend.

Doesn’t stay in the position well
I love my leaf at my desk. It helps to shade the aggressive overhead lights. Only issue I have with this product is that it is not easy to adjust the direction that the leaf sits at. The mechanism to hold it up doesn’t have enough grip to hold it at whichever angle you want the leaf to be at, mine always just moves back to where it naturally wants to sit at. I wish I could adjust this and have tried multiple times, but haven’t been able to get it to stay. Still an overall good product and pretty easy to set up.

Poor quality
While installing this product, the rod the holds the shade broke at the thread and the seller and or Amazon won't accept return or do a replacement or send just the broken part. The Shade is way to heavy for the strength of the metal rod.

Works well
When I have to go in the office the fluorescent lights kill me. This shade is great at blocking the overhead light and proving enough shade to give my eyes a rest. It is easy to set up and take down.
