Awful - catch mice tails every time
Those traps are terrible. Don't get me wrong, this type of humane traps are awesome IF the door doesn't close too quickly and catch the mice tail, which happens EVERY SINGLE TIME with this brand. Mice tails get damaged and crooked. Mice tails are a continuation of their spine, are prehensile, sensitive to pain, and help mice to balance themselves and regulate their temperature. In addition, the mice get so desperate because their tail is stuck that they try everything they can, including chewing on the door latch mechanism, so the trap is useless after the first use . They are better options of similar trap, for ex: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09MB1XD2Y/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1. I never had an issue with those.

Great little trap
Having tried may a traps for mice, I was dubious about this type. I purchase 3 clear ones and 3 smoke color ones. The bait compartment is a slide that is a bit awkward, and I have to put some effort into it. Once they are baited, I place them along paths where I suspect the mice frequent. One day passed, nothing. The second day, nothing. The third night I hear a clapping noise: my first catch. The next night three. Some of the mice were very small but the trigger mechanism works well. They are great. If there's anything to be changed, I'd redesign it to be more easily cleaned. Using peanut butter is kinda messy so I used dog kibbles which worked just as well. The enclosed cleaning brush seems more trouble that it's worth. I took the traps out on the lawn and used a water sprayer to get all the mouse turds out, then I left them out to disinfect by sunlight.

It works!
I'm terrified of mice. I didn't want to use the glue traps because the only thing worse than seeing a mouse is a dead, mutilated mouse.I put bread inside this for bate and latched the door and placed it.Within a day I heard the door close and the mouse trying to escape. Once it's trapped, it's trapped.I'm of the belief that rodents and insects should die so I had no intention of letting this thing out to get into someone else's house. It went straight into the trash. Some reviews talk about the door being hard to latch. It's not. The spring has to be light to trap the mouse.

It works well to catch mice.
Overall, a decent product. I have caught many mice and released them outside. The only thing is, the trap door tends to catch their tails and so the mouse is stuck in one position, until I release their tail by opening the trap door slightly. I think the design needs be re-thought. Out of about 20 mice I caught over 2 months, about 5 ended up with broken tails.

Did not catch a thing!
I put bait in the back compartment and set it. Kept finding it moved ATI with nothing in it and not thrown.
