Great for a Variety of Crafts
I got this mat for my daughter who is a very crafty kid. She's always painting something or working on a new project. We typically would break down a cardboard box or lay newspaper out on the table, but sometimes we didn't have anything to put underneath her canvases. That's why I ordered this mat.The mat comes folded in plastic which made me pretty happy. I love how easy it is to store since it can be folded up and tucked away when not being used. The mat itself has measurements on the sides, sections for paint, paintbrushes, and a collapsable cup for water. The open area is thin and very flimsy. It's suitable if you plan to keep your project in one spot but it's not sturdy enough to move with something on top of it.The only real complaint I have is that the actual working area is a little smaller than I thought it would be. It can fit an 8x10 canvas, but not something larger than that. I do appreciate how easy it is to take the whole mat to the sink and clean and I love the reusability. It's so much better than using cardboard and newspaper like we used to.

Why didn’t I find this sooner!!!
I wish I would have known about this sooner before damaging my kitchen table with paint, glitter and hot glue. This is a perfect product for toddler painting. We have little artists and crafters here and they love to paint but the water cup is always my biggest concern. So happy to find this silicone mat. Perfect for the table and has built-in a place to store brushes, paint pallets, and cup for water to clean brushes. It’s a soft pink color. Has a ruler guide along 2 sides and the cup collapses when not in use. Cup has so many features- brush holders on both sides, collapsible, has 2 places to rest brushes on top of the cup and raised lines on the bottom to help clean brushes.Have a feeling I will need one for all of us to use to keep my furniture safe from now on. Highly recommend.Cons: easily picks up lint. Not really a negative since it will wash right off.

Sturdy and washable - all around great mat for craft and painting projects!
If you or your kids do any painting, you already know what a mess it can make. This silicone painting mat helps contain that mess. It has a built in water reservoir that can either be used flat or popped up so it makes a much deeper dish. Six paint brush holders (3 on each side) are a nice touch to hold brushes while they dry or between uses. Next to the water dish are 12 sections (1"x1" each) and 2 larger sections (approx. 2"x2" each) for paints - no need for a separate paint pallet which makes for one less opportunity to get paint on your carpet when the separate pallet gets knocked to the floor. All of the sections are molded into the silicone. Finally at the far right, there are four places where you can rest your paintbrush between uses. The size of the mat is ideal at 20 x 16 inches. The mat even has measurements marked out on the bottom and left side in half inch increments. I haven't yet found a use for this feature but it's nice that the manufacturer decided to put it there. Very likely in doing crafts, there will be some use for it like measuring yarn, ribbon or string. The silicone mat cleans up really well with water and it's heavy enough to be sturdy and stay in place. I feel like this mat will last for years and be used for many projects besides painting. I can see it being really useful for other crafts involving beads and small pieces. The sections for paints could easily separate sequins and beads and the water dish could be great as a holder for markers or pins. It even comes in different colors so everyone can have their own. I highly recommend this product.

Awesome
This mat is exactly what I had wanted and so much more.I attached some photos so people could see what the collapsible brush cleaner looks like in action (which is pretty awesome) and there are a number of spots throughout the entire thing to place your paint brushes themselves (or if you're working on jewelry then files, etc) which I highlighted in the photos. The indents where you can put paint/resin/glitter/ink/beads etc are just deep enough to hold a decent amount depending on the project that you are working on. And since there are a bunch of them you could use more than one slot for a single color as needed.I personally work with resin/paint/glue a ton and my fiancee' is super happy to see that I will finally be able to stop ruining our tables haha.- Since it is all silicone, it is super easy to wash with soap/water for most mediums, or if you get any resin on it you can wipe it right up with a paper towel and rubbing alcohol or wait for it to dry and it will peel right off.Total lifesaver for our furniture and makes it way easier to have everything built in without me having 5 million containers everywhere trying to hold everything :D

Great idea with minor faws
This is a great concept. However, this was created by someone who doesn’t do a lot of painting or crafts. The bowl is permanently attached to the mat. I think with use over time it’s going to come loose. I’m not sure if the material will tear at that time. I think it will, if care, isn’t use when carrying this mat around to clean and/or store it. It’s not a problem for popping it up and down for use. I won’t be using it with water since I have a separate water/cleaning container I use. I would also be careful what instruments you use on it. It’s a very heavy silicone, but it’s not self healing by any means at all. Anything rough, sharp, or overly hot is going to leave a mark. I’ve had other silicone products and none of them have stained yet, so I don’t feel like this one will.I really like the pens holders at the top right, and wish they had included more. The same with brushes holders on the sides of the water cup. I wish there were 3 on each side. I would willing give up some of the paint spaces in the middle to accommodate more pen holders.
