After 10,000 years of imprisonment, the evil sorceress Rita Repulsa and her loyal minions are freed when astronauts on a routine mission in space accidentally open her dumpster prison on the Moon. Filled with rage, Rita decides to conquer the nearest planet: Earth. But her archnemesis—the heroic sage Zordon—has been patiently waiting in preparation for this day. With the assistance of his wisecracking robotic sidekick Alpha 5, Zordon recruits a team of "five teenagers with attitude"—Jason, Zack, Kimberly, Billy and Trini—to receive superpowers beyond their wildest dreams so they can defend the Earth as the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. Aided by giant robotic vehicles modeled after dinosaurs called Zords, the Power Rangers fight back against the evil alien hordes of Rita Repulsa.

The Power Rangers We Remember
Power Rangers was a popular T.V. show when it was Mighty Morphin on Fox Kids, exactly 25-years ago. I wasn't aware back then, they were using action footage from a Japanese T.V. show, Zyuranger. It's interesting to watch these episodes years later. Even if you haven't seen an episode since back then, the show would probably still seem pretty familiar. If you watched it back then, perhaps these episodes from Season 1 Volume 2 would seem the most familiar, remembering when it was the original cast: Jason, Zach, Billy, Kimberly, Trini, and Tommy, and remembering their Dino Zords along with the catchphrase, "It's Morphin Time," and what they said when they morphed: "Dragon Zord, Mastodon, Pterodactyl, Triceratops, Sabertooth Tiger, Tyrannosaurus." Also remembering Alpha 5's catchphrase, Ay Yi Yi Yi Yi, remembering Bulk and Skull, remembering Ernie and the Youth Center, and remembering Rita's phrase, "Magic Wand Make My Monster Grow." Watching these episodes from Volume 2 of Season 1 seem like episodes they regularly showed on Fox Kids, even as reruns. If you have Season 1 Volume 1, there are possibly episodes from Volume 1 you never saw if you didn't see them when they first aired, episodes that wouldn't air as reruns. But, most of these episodes on Volume 2, were episodes they aired regularly, or at least episodes I remember.Watching Power Rangers years later, I can't help but notice even more as an adult how cheesy/corny the show was. I stopped watching the show after Season 2 when I noticed it was predictable and didn't hold it's appeal. A lot of us don't care as much for the Rangers replacements, Rocky, Adam, and Aisha. Watching episodes from this show years later, even though it's a corny show, I notice how incredible the action from the show was. The action scenes from the show are clever. It was cool seeing characters with martial arts skills, seeing actual martial arts fights. Another thing we probably remember from the show from these episodes, are fights with the putties where we'd see the characters doing martial arts.A couple of years ago, they tried to do a Power Rangers based off of this show. A lot of us didn't care so much for that movie, and it didn't get the best reviews, making us ask if there will ever be a sequel to it? I felt like the movie didn't take us back to watching that show for a few reasons. One, the characters, we liked the original cast of Power Rangers but the movie characters were less likable and less memorable, rebellious troubled teens unlike their counterparts from the show, the action wasn't like the action in the show, the costumes weren't quite as good, characters like Bulk and Skull weren't in the movie. My biggest problem with the movie was how the movie didn't include actual martial arts like the show did, where the characters were gymnasts and skilled martial artists. The characters in the movie just had super powers, super strength. The putty fight wasn't like stunt men and actual martial arts like the show. I think most of us were hoping it would be a movie to take us back to when this show was popular, it didn't. If you watch these episodes, and saw them when you were a kid, it probably will take you back to a time you wish you could go back to, your childhood. If you see the movie and these episodes, you'll immediately notice numerous differences, they seem quite a bit different. I'm still amazed with the action from the show, and original cast years later.

The Green Ranger at His Strongest
Everyone seems to remember the Green Ranger being the strongest Power Ranger ever, but without spoiling the story, He is at his best and his strongest in this Volume 2 of Season 1 of Mighty Morphin. The Dragonzord Green Ranger controls with the Dragon Dagger flute really is the most iconic and memorable thing about the entire series for those who have seen it from the start.

Mighty Morphin Season 1 Vol 2
When it premiered in 1993 it became an Instant Classic and became the #1 Children's in America. Jason, Zack, Billy, Trini, Kimberly, five extraordinary youth/teenagers and what a great surprise with the discovery of another power coin the Green Ranger, Tommy. Green With Evil was a great way to bring the most popular ranger in history to the show.

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Season 1, Vol. 2
Mighty Morphin Power Rangers was and still is my favorite shows. I loved the positive message in each episode. I was a teenager when the show aired in 1993 and now that I am an adult I still love it! Every episode still makes me laugh especially the scenes with Bulk and Skull.
