More features than I had expected
I'd only expected a unit that would allow me to charge a battery with a bare solar panel; however, there are features I did not expect. 1. to be able to take power from the panel-battery combination while it is running. 2. to limit the power drawn from the battery so that the battery level does not drop below a set voltage. 3. a timer to control the power output, to day hours of daylight for use with for example a solar fountain (with battery backup).

I reviewed my review!
I’m correcting my poor review! The output of the controller shut down, but now I realise that it’s because the battery had been disconnected! So to get the output back on, you have to disconnect the solar panel’s input, reconnect the battery and then reconnect the panels. Works fine then. It has to be in that order.

Ok
Doesn't stop over charging but good if there will be a regular load. Slightly confusing instructions.

Good controller
Easy to set up and charges a small lead acid battery for solar lights in the garden, even on fairly cloudy days.4.5 ah batt with 25w ecoworthy panel, feeding a 3w 12v string of led lights.

No leads for the battery!
You have to buy separate leads for the controller to the battery. They are around £25.00. Why do you not outline this in the description??
