For my classic Porsche 928
This will be the third of these sensors in the car. The original sensor and installation include a model-specific connector, and the need to pass that connector through a grommet in the tub. The grommet sits in an, um, interesting position that normally demands lowering the exhaust to access. Using this 15735 sensor allows me to pass another wire from inside the cabin, and use it to "snake" the cable from the sensor back inside, where it's very convenient to splice the new sensor cable to the original via a more common connector. It also saves some $$ along the way vs. buying the specific sensor from Porsche. I my 25-plus years with the car, these sensors have worked perfectly. The improvement in fuel economy alone pays for a new sensor in well under 50K miles. Doing the same math with the Porsche-supplied sensor more than doubles the payback period, effectively costing more than just the difference in sensor price. If you are comfortable managing the new connector install, there's a significant economic benefit in using this sensor. I've been religious in keeping the car to original spec all its life; I'm fairly sure no concours judge will ding me points for an extra connector in the sensor cable. Hasn't happened yet anyway. Buy this one and save money. Simple as that.

BMW 335i - Fixed my code!
2008 BMW 335i with the N54 engine, bought this to clear a 2C7B code (secondary oxygen sensor fault). The splice kit is really nice, it takes about 30 minutes to splice into the BMW connector, at a much lower cost! I put about 300 miles on the car since i did this repair and the code hasn't came back.

This sensor is exactly what my Volvo needed!
It arrived on time, was packaged well, and installed without any issues. The sensor is an OEM replacement, so I know it’s reliable and built to last. After replacing the old sensor, my vehicle’s performance has improved.

Good quality part
Felt like an OEM factory fit. Fixed the issue. Woks as intended for my 2006 OM647 2500 sprinter 2.7L 5cyl diesel.

Bosch 13878 O2 Sensor does not work in a MINI Cooper
While this part fits perfectly both mechanically and electrically, it will quickly cause a P0130 (Upstream O2 sensor) error code. I will point out that this was the problem on my 2005 MINI Cooper S. Of course this part is shipped in a sealed bad that says "If this bag is opened, this part cannot be returned.) I was at my wits end trying to resolve this issue. I finally went to the dealer where the tech explained that pretty much only the factory O2 sensor works properly in these vehicles. While I was not happy with the price of the factory sensor, I was happy to finally get a sensor that works properly. In the photos the design of the actual part of the sensor that extends into the exhaust stream is shown. The Bosch sensor is on the right, and the factory sensor is on the left. Obviously I would have given this item zero starts if I could considering the number of hours spent trying to diagnose the problem.

Worked perfectly, allows the flexibility to extend o2 sensor wires to accommodate aftermarket headers and exhaust pipes with different O2 sensor locations than stock. Takes a bit of technical skill to install the supplied splice but nothing major.
