Nice quality latch. This latch allowed me to install hopper windows at a height of 18' in my Pole Barn. I can open and close the hopper window from the ground with a "Prime-Line H 3662 Transom Latch Hook" attached to a 16' pole. I used a spacer to mount the latch on the window and the catch was mounted to the window frame. Works great!

I needed a new latch for my Little Free Library (the one that came with it was just a piece of wood that rotates), and I was struggling finding one that would upgrade the LFL's appearance while being affordable. This did the trick. It works as promised, feels like it will be durable, and definitely looks better than the previous latch, as well as matching the existing hardware. No trouble with installation -- you just screw each piece in with included matching screws. One thing to be aware of is that "self-closing" here doesn't mean it will automatically close itself -- you still have to push it. You just don't have to operate the latch to close it -- if you push the door shut, the latch will catch. It's very easy. To open it, you just pull the loop to the side.

These latches worked great for my needs. The lock/unlock mechanism seems a little flimsy though. I wouldn't count on them lasting forever but I think they hold up long enough to make them worthwhile. They worked just fine my my use, which was to add to basement windows that kept finding a way to be forced open with high winds. The set includes the needed wood screws with some extras if some get dropped or lost, which is appreciated. Quality feels fairly good overall. I do wish the included screws were about a half inch longer though.

Wanted to like and use them. Catch hole seemed to not have enough space for normal seasonal movement of wood. If gates I was going to use them on didn't stay right on the same height, it wouldn't have worked. Went with square version that had more vertical lead way. Nice looking latch with smooth round edges

Surprisingly hefty latches for the price. The included screws are not super strong, I recommend sourcing some better quality ones. Using them to hold a murphy bed with a thick mattress. Very stout!

The cats had figured out how to pull the pantry doors open and that was a problem that needed a solution. They'd get in there and knock things down and make a mess. I had to use a wooden shim (actually cut from a paint stirrer and painted white) to bring these out from the doors to be even with the trim, but that wasn't hard. Getting the two parts lined up is the only tricky part, but not hard to figure out a solution to. They work much better and easier to use with a cord to pull on. It gives more leverage and you don't have to reach to the top of the door and pull with your finger. I used some curtain ties that worked perfectly as you can see in the photos. These worked so well the I removed the spring ball assembly that held the doors shut. They weren't needed and the doors open with just a tug on the cord and lock when closed, so it only takes one hand to open the door instead of one to open the latch and another to pull the door open.

These are great, easy and sturdy. Just close and they self lock. One finger to open them up again. Great for my fumble hands.
