Fotodiox Lens Mount Adapter, Sony Alpha DSLR (Minolta AF A-type) Lens to Sony Alpha Nex E-mount Camera Adapter, fit Sony NEX 3, Nex 5, NEX-VG10

This is the second Fotodiox adapter that I have bought and I love them. They are not the cheapest you can buy, but they are very well made, they fit perfectly, the lenses reach infinity, it does exactly what it is designed to do, unlike most of the cheaper adapters that I have. I shall be changing all my adapters to Fotodiox.It arrived quickly, well packaged, no issues at all.

The adapter does the job quite well, and is also made with the highest standard.No trouble reaching infinity focus.It is however a bit expensive compared to other mounts

Product arrived with no info or instructions. The adapter is well made.This adapter is not the same as Sony's own in that it does not control the lens aperture. I have found that this makes it more suitable for fixed aperture lenses, such as mirror lens. The release button looks as if it should be pushed but it needs to be slid to release the lens. You also have to change the settings on the camera to manual focus and to allow the shutter to fire as the camera does not recognise that a lens has been attached. A simple leaflet could have been enclosed to help the purchaser. Inspite of this the adapter is worth the money.

I have a Leica M2 and have Leica 50 & 35 mm lenses but would like a good digital camera without the M9 price tag.The adapter fits beautifully to the Leica M lenses and Sony NEX 5 R e mount. You might get a message saying camera lens not recognised but this can turned off on the menu/settings.It has given my 1960's lenses an new lease of life. Highly recommended piece of camera gear.

I inspected closely the adapter after getting it and it was free from any metal excess after machining (although it's recommended to blow it with some blower or pump just to make sure nothing is left inside or on the mount that can possibly destroy your lens mount or even worse, scratch your lens). The adapter fits perfectly and very tight on both camera and lens.The lens releasing lever is a little bit odd, since it happened that I unintentionally grabbed it, forcing the lens to unscrew, luckily I hold my lens and camera body at the same time preventing the lens from dropping. Apart from that, screw mount loosens really easily, and if you don't need it, just unscrew it and put in a bag, though if you are sure that you'll be using it often, I'd do recommend to glue both the screws and the mount at the same time with some super glue, it works very fine for me (just remember to not attach any lens on the adapter within 2 hours, otherwise the "smoke" from the glue can easily be attracted to the glass of the lens making it unusable), however you can't unscrew the tripod mount anymore.The aperture ring feels pretty good (not as good as 24mm Zeiss focusing ring but still good enough) and clicks at widest and smallest aperture (remember there is no F-stop indication on the adapter so you can only guess what your aperture is), making wide open shots pretty easy to setup. Overall it lost 1 star for the mount loosing up all the time and somewhat awkward lever easy to reach being simple to be accidentally pushed. For the price I'm not sure you find anything better with manual aperture control so if you can live with the issues the adapter has, it will be a good buy.After few months of using I noticed some light leaking at very critical angles that is, light source directly on top of the mount (imagine 90° sun light to lens barrow) but only on upper left and upper right "corners" of the mount, seems like it developed that way from heavy lenses perhaps and became slightly loose on the lens mount, body mount (between the adapter and the camera itself) seems tight and fine so far. Just so you are aware of this in case of heavy using!

Works perfectly, nicely made, good price and fast delivery. Much better product than the Kiwifoto Adapter.

Good adopter for my camera

The more Fotodiox I buy the more I like this company. I have three different adapters and all the quality are good. YES you can get a cheaper adapter but I find the cheaper ones have metal shavings that come off the adapter and you do not want that inside your camera. So Fotodiox or K&F are your best bet for an adapter.

I use this for a Pentax manual lens to fit on my Sony A6000. It does the job.

Franchement, franchement, son rapport qualité prix est au top du top !Bien entendu pas d'autofocus et tout le tralala mais ce n'est pas ce que nous recherchons ici avec cet accessoire. Cette bague a l'air vraiment solide et de mon côté je ne ressent pas de jeux une fois installer !Je vais l'éprouver un peu ces prochains mois et vous en donnerai des nouvelles !

Las malas calificaciones y malos comentarios que logre ver de este producto fue porque las personas no saben lo que estan comprando, funciono en mi de maravilla, mejor de lo que esperaba y todo es de metal. Es muy similar al ver que todo mundo compra el adaptador tipo 4 de Sony el original el cual tiene motor de enfoque, a mi me funcionaria el tipo 3 ya que mis lentes tienen su propio motor de enfoque y las personas gastan mas comprando el 4 pensando que el 3 no tiene autoenfoque, ya que los lentes lo tiene. Me encanto el producto ya que es economico, cumple su objetivo y pronto cambiare mis objetivos montura A por E, por lo que no vale la pena invertir tanto en el adaptador original.
