Works okay, but not as good as kydex. Temperature is more critical.

This thin material is flexible & malleable when heated but strong when cool. I used this material to create ductwork for a modified generator. I could easily cut the material with a cutoff tool or metal snips or score with a utility knife and snap apart. I could use my heat gun and bend or mold it into shape. You can really form it once you heat it up just enough. NOTE: USE heavy GLOVES since this material gets and stays hot. You will have to hold it in the form you want until it cools off enough to remain in that shape. I could attach the pieces together with sheet metal screws. Acetone could be used to melt and bond pieces together allowing you to increase the thickness and make it sturdier. I had no problem working with this material and would purchase it again.

Quantity was way more than what I really needed but that’s ok - the rest will undoubtedly be useful in the future. Since I wanted the textured side to be the one that was visible, I laid that side facing down and cut my lines on the smooth side with a sharp utility knife guided by a strait edge. Several slices per cut and it worked fine. Perfectly smooth edge on the textured side - I hit the edge on the smooth side with a flat file to knock the edge down. Worked out great!
