A new experience - hard tension achieves what medium/low tensions struggle with!
Dislikes - none especially, except that they need constant tuning up - don't know if this is because of the high tension needing to be adjusted before each play, hence a long settling in time, or sensitivity to atmospherics.LIKES: a-plenty!! The "hard" tension is not noticeably so, perhaps marginally more force needed for barred chords/fingering, but hence a chance to up your technique. What I love about these strings are (a) longevity (b) response, and (c) tonal quality...(A) longevity - they seem to be lasting longer so far, and I find there's been less fret-notching despite using (slightly) more pressure, especially in the lower positions.(B) these are the most responsive strings I've used so far, beats other I've used, eg other Savarez, D'Addario, Adagio etc certainly in terms of response. A bit tougher for ascending slurring but brilliant for descending slurring - again a chance to develop your technique. Harmonics are beautifully clear! RH harmonics are even better: more responsive, sweeter and brighter. I didn't find RH plucking any harder than MT/LT strings - the responsiveness seems to compensate.(C) not tried on my sprucetop guitar yet, but on my cedar top they work beautifully, crispening up the sometimes over-rich cedar tone. Sul tasto is perhaps not as mellow as on MT strings, but adjust by using more finger-flesh. However something else I did find was that you could produce a sweeter (dolce) tone by plucking slightly away from the fingerboard. Because of the HT the string won't buzz, but you get a more silky tone. Eg in the Villa Lobos Prelude #1, try playing the thumb (melody) like this, while using a soft full flesh touch on the accompanying notes. It's a new experience!!! And with accented notes/chords plucking into the strings produces a more robust articulation. Conclusion: there are always pros and cons to everything, and much is also subject to personal taste. However what I have found so far (will review the sprucetop experience some time) is that there are myths about HT strings. And with these strings, what more you can do with them (as above) far outstrips any limitations they may have. Further, these strings encourage you to develop your technique!I can thoroughly recommend them! Without a single qualm.

Sounds great for two weeks
Savarez is one of my favourite strings. They sound great for two weeks( if you play lot), but after almost two three weeks they got some scathes on nylon strings and the sound is not as clean as it supposed to be.

Nice strings
Warmer sound than cheaper name brand high tension strings. Did my research and glad I got these. First time with high tension strings but tried a mix of names all on same day. Once these were on I removed the other brands. My guitar is a cheap one but very old and needs all the help it can get, next stop is a bone nut but for strings I will be sticking with Savarez. Definitely worth the money

Excellent strings!
I tried these strings after becoming a little bit frustrated with how quickly d'addario pro arte high tensions were sounding dull, although they are very nice strings, the G is a bit too heavy and as I've said above, they get very dull in a matter of 2 weeks. The savarez ones appeared to have a reputation for maintaining brightness while having a good balance across the trebles. This is definitely true. I've been using these for almost 6 weeks and they have dulled slightly but only to a point where they sound 'just right'. I think there's a little less bass on the trebles than the pro artes which I miss and I'll most likely flit between the two types just for change, but these savarez ones for me, are significantly more favourable and without a doubt worth the price. At present, these are my new favourite strings.Using them on an alhambra 4p.

One of the Best!
my favourite strings..unfortunately also more expensive. I've used these for 30 years or more... and have always found they last longer than let's say Augustine etc. so that makes up for the costlier price. They feel different (but no problem, just like D'Addario electric are a different alloy to others but sound great) but come in different tensions and sound great. I use the high tension if playing rockier music.
