Great replacement for my Dyson dustbin lid which Dyson don’t sell as a replacement. There is a QR code on the packaging for an installation video which is really helpful for removal and fitting this replacement. There is a bit of a knack to fitting the lid. You need to slightly move the lid from vertical and push down. If the lid is pointing straight up and try pushing it in place it’s too stiff. However, if you slightly lower the lid and push hard it clicks into place.Very pleased I was able to find this replacement part!

Fitted to V6 Animal perfectly, seal is good and door is tight when closed.Read the tips given by other purchasers and put in at 46 degree angle. Used a flat car trim tool to ease hinge pin into socket then pushed firmly into place. Would definitely recommend.

not as easy to fit as the video ,however got it done after a couple of attempts and it fitted like a glove.Thanks for saving me money on a whole new bin.

This is the best third party Dyson part I have used till this moment in regard to the fit especially. The bin lid is identical to a genuine part and the quality is really good (I've had my fair share of different third party Dyson spare parts)- the plastic is clean and doesn't have excessive mold lines, fitted the V6 original bin to the perfection - no issues at all, the installation is fairly easy (just use some force on the second notch once the first one is in its "bed"), the lid catch is performing good with the opening mechanism and the rubber seal fits just as the genuine one used to. The only difference I noticed is that the rubber is way softer and more flexible than the genuine thing - which isn't a problem - on the contrary - it seals the lid even better as the old original bin lid was several years old and the rubber seal was quite aged. Only time is going to tell how the seal is going to perform throughout the years to come.

This product replaced the original part. In terms of quality, I can see no difference between it and the original but obviously time will tell. A little 'fiddly' to remove the old part and install the new but it fitted and works well.

The rubber seals are very stiff and oversized so it takes a lot of force to close the lid. The retaining catch broke after two months.
