FX-991CW Advanced Scientific Calculator

The user interface is nicer but if you are coming from other Cassio calculator models the button location could be confusing but with some online tutorials you will be good to go.

Good quality and easy to use function.

I bought this as an upgrade/replacement for my trusty TI-30X IIS that I'd been using for simple calculations and conversions in my workshop. I don't usually need a device as advanced as a graphing calculator with CAS or anything, but working with lots of SAE measurements means I need something that can handle mixed fractions without a lot of fuss, so more basic calculators don't cut it.The fx-991CW strikes a nice balance. It can work as a basic addition machine (with a quite intuitive and quick key sequence for entering fractions), but there are lots of functions built in like unit conversion, rounding, ratio solving, and trig operations that I can use to work out more complex measurements when I need them.The menus are easy to navigate once you're familiar with how things are categorized, and the full dot-matrix display means answers are output in a very readable format that doesn't have to overcome the limitations of the segmented displays on slightly cheaper scientific calculators like the TI-30X IIS. It's a logical step up in functionality and at a very reasonable price.My only gripe is that I really wish the display were backlit, if only dimly. That would likely mean a rechargeable internal battery instead of the button cell and solar panel, and the thickness would probably increase slightly, but it would be so nice to have a scientific calculator that can be used in low light situations without spending big bucks on a powerful graphing calculator with a full color LCD.

Esta calculadora tiene todo lo que necesitas en una ingeniería, aunque no tiene gráfica (te da un QR para abrir la función en tu celular) tiene funciones que no vas ni a usar de tantas que son, pero estan ahi. Tiene mas funciones que otras mas costosas. Es la calculadora ideal.Facil de usar, los menús se entienden, esta muy bien organizado el sistema.Me encantó las hojas de cálculo que tiene como si fuera excel (es un poco limitado, pero puedes hacer muchas, muchas cosas)NO te arrepentiras de comprarlaEs una buena inversión

Super poderosa está calculadora, la voy a usar bastante para las materias de álgebra lineal, calculo y geometría.

Me ha sido muy útil para los primeros semestres de la carrera de ingeniería mecánica, ya va poco mas de un año que la tengo y no he tenido ningún problema, las opciones de calculo que incluye me han ayudado bastante para corroborar de forma rápida mis resultados en los ejercicios de los libros que uso para estudiar.Además de que el nuevo menú me parece muy cómodo y amigable a la hora de adaptarse.La recomiendo para cualquier estudiante de ingeniería o ciencias.

It is quite expensive for students to buy but the quality might be good investing in. The buttons don't make any clicking noise.

カシオの関数電卓CLASSWIZの最新機で日本版のfx-JP900CWのグローバル版ということらしい．先代機のfx-991EX（fX-JP900-Nのグローバル版）は愛用しているが，持ち運び用とデスク常備用で使い分けようと思い購入．結論として「関数電卓としては」少し残念な仕様変更になっている．デザインは主に記号入力ボタンの白印字とそれに対応したSIFTと組み合わせる「裏入力」表示のゴールドのツートーンがシンプルで，何を押せばいいのかが直感的によりわかりやすくなっているのがいい．logボタンの表裏は日本版と逆になっているようだ．これは好みや使い方の問題だろうが,個人的には「底を指定のlog」が表で，裏に自然対数や常用対数となっているこの海外版の仕様のほうが好みだ．（なぜって底が揃っていない計算の方が面倒だから電卓の出番が多い．）速度や計算精度は概ね強化されているのも良い点．（シンプルな関数の定積分なら割と早い．カシオやHPの上位機種のグラフ電卓には流石に敵わないが．）残念だと思う先代からの変更点はS⇔Dボタンが無くなったこと．計算結果の表示を分数や小数で切り替えるのがFORMATボタンから上下カーソルで選択式になって手間が増えたのが地味に不便．（10桁までの整数なら素因数分解ができるがそれはちょっと嬉しい．）また定積分がボタンで一発で呼び出せず操作盤のどこにも積分記号がないのが混乱する．（これはCATALOGからFunc Analysisを呼び出してさらにIntegrationを選択しなくてはならなくなった．）性能は確かに強化されているが，おそらく多くのエンジニアにも他の理系の人にもUIは不便になったと思われる．ボタンが見やすくなったのは助かるが，UI周りの仕様で関数電卓を普通の電卓ユーザーのニーズに寄せなくてもいいと感じた．よく使う計算はすぐに操作は覚えられたが，その大半で先代機よりわずかに手間がかかる．普段遣いは結局先代機になりそうだ．
