Ripcord Technologies Ace Micro Right Hand Rest

The micro adjust is probably the best feature on this rest. It doesn't click into certain spots but much easier than trying to tune your rest by bumping it. My bow has an IBO speed of 342fps. So it's not super fast but it is up there. I haven't had any issues with vane contact and my arrows fly straight and true. This rest does take some getting used to. You have to remember to cock the rest up on each shot or the arrow will miss the prongs. It's nice and quiet. I haven't heard any noise come it. I tied my rest into my downward running cable and served it in. The football can slip on waxed strings! If you choose to use the football, you could serve a section of your cable and clamp the football to it or serve up above the football so it can't slip up the string and cause timing issues. Timing issues can cause fletching contact and inconsistent arrow flight. I have had none of these issues because I tuned the rest and served it into my cable. I can't compare this to any other drop away rest because this is my first one. I've always shot a whisker biscuit rest. I just decided to go with this rest over other drop away rests because this one had a micro adjust feature. Overall, I'm very pleased with this rest and it's performance.

I really wanted to like this rest, especially the micro adjust feature. I tune my own bows, starting with paper, then modified french tune, then bare shaft, then broad heads.Unfortunately, I could never get past paper tuning with this rest. At first, I thought I just had one of those bows that simply could not be paper tuned. The bow is a 2016 Bowtech Btx 28. It's supposed to be one of the most tune-able bows out today. No matter what I did, I could not get rid of a high tear.I was just about to give up, when I took a chance and shot a bare shaft through paper and was surprised to get a perfect bullet hole. Was able to repeat the bullet hole multiple times with a bare shaft, but as soon as I used my fletched arrow, tear would return. Spinning the nock only moved the tear to a different location, which indicated to me that I was getting fletching contact with the rest.To confirm, I took a rest out of another bow I own (other rest is a Vapor Trails drop away), configured center shot and nock height and got immediate bullet holes with both bare shaft and fletched arrows out of the bow I was having problems with.I then put the Ripcord on my other bow that I know shoots perfect bullet holes and after doing the necessary adjustments, I got the same exact high tear. To triple confirm, I sprayed foot powder on my rest and verified fletching contact was indeed happening.Not sure if I can still return this rest for a refund, but will give it a try. Very disappointed, really liked the micro adjust feature.

I love this rest. I did have an issue with the football clamp. DO NOT USE THE FOOTBALL CLAMP! It will slide up and will break the launcher. I had the cord served in and it has been flawless. BTW Ripcord will replace the launcher if you break it without any hassles. I took a high speed video of the rest in action and there is absolutely no bounce. The micro adjustments allowed me to paper tune it quickly so I could get to shooting.

Awesome rest. Tried HDX and ripcord blows it away. Have a Bowtech Carbon Knight. Fits perfectly without modification or adding spacers. With HDX (junk and wast of money) even with the spacer it barely fit my bow. Would recommend ripcord to anyone looking for a drop away rest. Can't beat its performance. Great rest. I like how it adjusts vs the competition. I had fletching contact issues and had to have my HDX timed perfectly to clear but this rest has no contact issues and the narrow launcher arm is a better design than others. I actually broke a containment arm and Ripcord took care of me very well. I will definitely continue to support this company.

1st purchase and the rest would stay up but not go down easily. Even flicking it with the finger didn't make it go down, had to force it. Exchanged it for another one and the 2nd one was better. It did go down after a quick flick from a finger but not from the string side.Seems to be a solid item on the outside but what ever is on the inside wasn't put together well.The QA was done by someone named Lisa at ripcord.Ended up buying a Vaportrail Limbdriver Pro, works very well.

There are a lot of good rests out there. This has to be on that list. Like the micro adjustment. And really like the rubber on the drop-away - so much better than the moleskin that you see on other rests.

Have always wanted a ripcord, and they definitely live up to their reputation (so long as you have heard they are great). Cannot say enough about these rests.
