Ottoman King Size Storage Bed Upholstered in Faux Leather, 5ft, Black

One is always a little sceptical when you see something for a seemingly 'too good to be true' price. Due to the positive reviews, I took a chance on this bed...And wasn't disappointed. The bed was delivered very quickly, so quickly that I missed the first delivery attempt. In fact, my only quibble about this purchase was that there was no tracking number given. The bed itself was straightforward to assemble, which I did in an hour or so, by myself (if you have a power driver or drill with some Allen bits, it speeds things up). The materials are of decent quality and when all assembled, this is a nice looking and sturdy bed. I've seen this bed elsewhere for over a hundred more and other much more expensive brands / models, with less support across the frame. There's also a very decent amount of storage, which is very handy indeed. All in all, a great deal on a great bed!

I was, like others, very dubious about buying such a large item online, and especially for this price. After a few weeks reading reviews, (coupled with the urgent need for a new bed) I placed the order. I cannot fault a single thing. The delivery was prompt, the item well packaged. It took myself and my OH about an hour to put together including dismantling old bed saving us around five hundred pounds on a similar model form our local bed stores. Easy, simple instructions, but does need two people ideally, and solid bed, plus the storage space is immense on a king size. The one only downside is that the strap to lift the bed to get to the storage was missing, but in all fairness I would probably not have put it on as its so easy to do anyway, and saves having a strap hanging down. Looks fantastic in our room, and coupled with the new mattress also purchased on here I now cannot wait til bedtime. Over a week on I still comment about how much I love this item. One of the best things I have bought. After seeing it up, a friend has now ordered one in a double size. Would recommend.

I chose this bed after much research and even looking around in the sales. It is a DIY put together bed which suited us, as if complete, would never have got up our stairs. Instructions were clear, with it being clearly labelled on the box that the screws etc were in the headboard. It took my husband 2.5 hours on his own to put together. It's solid, doesn't creak when laid on except when my 19 stone husband bounced around on it!! It looks much more expensive than it is. The space underneath for storage is really useful but does only come with a sheet to lay on the ground. There is velcro around the edge but we couldn't find anything to attach it to but it's not a problem. The only reason why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the sprung slats are quite far apart (about 5cm) so I'm not sure how our pocket sprung mattress will manage on it (may have to buy some more slats). Overall though, a good buy and my son loves it!

OK early days but assembled the bed last night, so I'll start there. The assembly sounds daunting but isn't, just take your time. Read the instructions a couple of times before starting, they are very good. Here's a tip, if you are assembling on carpet keep the sides, headboard and footboard in the polythene packaging and just open the ends and bolting areas. It stops the Velcro on the base from sticking to the carpet. Just pull the polythene off when you tip the bed to fit the bottom sheet. As an engineer I found the alignment of bolt holes and brackets spot on, a lot of thought and good design has gone into the manufacturing of this bed. 10 out of 10 for coming up with a good design. Slept in the bed for the first time last night, all i can say is wow! I'm 18 stone 6tf +. I have a silent night memory foam mattress and found that the good number of curved spars supported it well. The curve in the spars coupled with the fact that they are set out individually on both sides of the bed means that you don't feel a thing when your partner moves around. All in all a very good bed and at the price a lot of bed for the money. Excellent.

Bit of a pain in the backside to put together if you're one person. There's Velcro on the base which makes it hard to shift around when building and if you've got a low ceiling you I might have issues. That being said, it's a great bed. The Velcro attaches to a sheet of fabric which forms the base and there's little feet to raise the unit off the floor. The frame is all metal and very sturdy. The frame is thin, lightly padded but does the trick. Slats actually clip into little holes so they don't go sliding all over the place. Pistons are stiff at first but once used a few times they work just fine. Looks good, wonderfully practical and is nice and comfy. Plenty of slats mean that your mattress is also looked after. Biggest problem I had was that it came in two deliveries.

After reading all the reviews and I decided to purchase this product. Delivery - Delivery person did not arrived on time and when we were not at home, Delivery person entered our house from side entrance, entered our outbuilding which was not key locked and left the product inside out building without our consent and left a note from front door. So, I would not recommend buying a big item from amazon. Their delivery people are not safe!! Product packing - It comes in three packs. easy to open and descent packing Assembly - Phew!! Instructions are poor, not proper marking on bed frames which one is up/down. It took two of us 3.5 hours to fit it. Screws are not the easy to tight. Wood planks are cheap quality and once you for the bed fitted it looks okay. I am satisfied with quality, its better to spend extra money and get quality product!

We had a few hiccups regarding delivery time but no real issues. The bed arrived in two thin packages and this was of concern at first as it did not look as though all the parts were there. Once we put the bed together ,we were surprised how solid and strong the bed is. We have had a few good night sleep on it and are very happy with how much storage space there is , as this is the reason we bought it. It's easy to manage and we are keeping all our bedding ,shoes ,other items in the storage area in boxes I bought that fits inside the area. I would certainly recommend this bed for the exceptionally good price we paid. thanks.
