Great headset!
These are wired over-ear headphones that focus more on passive noise isolation than active noise canceling. The ear cups fit snugly around the ears, which helps reduce outside noise without any electronics involved. This makes them useful in situations where you don’t want to worry about batteries or charging. Sound quality is solid for everyday listening. Bass is present but not overpowering, mids are clear, and vocals come through cleanly. They perform well for watching videos, casual music listening, and computer use. The wired connection is stable with no lag, which is helpful for video editing or streaming. Comfort is good for extended use. Padding is soft enough that it doesn’t cause pressure quickly, though long sessions may still require short breaks. Build quality feels decent for the price, with adjustable sizing that accommodates different head shapes. Overall, these are dependable wired headphones that do what they’re supposed to do without unnecessary features. Theres no need to worry about Battery life becuase its wired. Its fully compatible with ANY device, HOWEVER you need to make a razer ID in order to unlock the free 7.1 surround sound, whitch is a complicated process.

Fantastic.
Backstory, I was looking for a new gaming headset, and I went with the very highly reviewed hyperx cloud alpha S, and hated it. I decided to try this one out because I’ve always enjoyed razer products, even if there are a few bad reviews. This headset blows the HyperX out of the water. Better sound, way better comfort, clearer mic, and the hyper sense haptic thing is game changing. Pros: -excellent sound quality -Very comfortable. Ear cups don’t press on jaw like the HyperX, padding is thicker and more resilient feeling. -Noise cancelling is just right. Little things don’t break immersion, but if someone falls down the stairs or the house catches fire, you’ll hear it. -mic is very clear. The synapse tests and peer reviews tell me this is the clearest mic I’ve used, plus it has separate adjustable thresholds for volume, background noise filtering, and voice clarification -Hyper Sense Haptics…. I think this was mostly for People playing FPS games, makes gunfire and such “feel” more real, but as someone who always has Spotify up while gaming, I Love the simulated base this adds in on low/medium settings. You could never get base like that from speakers that strap to your head, but the haptics can emulate having a nice sub nearby. Very nice touch. -RGB is a tasteful accent, not garish. I also like that I can set which colors I want in my spectrum for various patterns. Setting this to just the shades of blue and green is very nice, and matches the Corsair RGB on my desk/tower Cons: -No mute light on mic. This is a nice feature most brands have and I’ve gotten used to. Nice visible indicator that I have my mic muted to prevent embarrassing over sharing. -Thx surround feature sounds bad. I’m sure it’s great for FPS players that are willing to sacrifice sound quality to have better directional sense, but I’m not a FPS player so it’s not worth the drop in quality. This one isn’t really a detriment, it’s just a feature I don’t use. Sound quality with THX left off is phenomenal. Overall I’m super excited about this one. This is the best headset I’ve had in my 15+ years of gaming headset usage. Highly recommended.

Comfortable Headset with Good Sound (Best Without 7.1 Enabled)
Comfortable Headset with Good Sound (Best Without 7.1 Enabled) The Razer Kraken V3 X Wired USB Gaming Headset is a solid option overall. The sound quality is clear and immersive, and it works well for gaming, videos, and voice chat. It’s also very comfortable, even during long sessions, thanks to the lightweight design and soft ear cushions. One thing to note: the 7.1 surround sound didn’t work well with certain programs for me and would cut out randomly. I ended up turning the surround sound off, and I actually like it better that way. The audio is more consistent and still sounds great in standard mode. Overall, it’s a good headset for the price, especially if you value comfort and clear sound. Just be aware that the surround sound feature may not be ideal depending on what programs you’re using.

functionality and arrival time
showed up really fast within a day. really pleased with how well it was packaged. it's functions great, sound quality is great. it only had an amazon label on the product box which isn't a problem in my neighborhood but for other neighborhoods could pose a problem could've been a bit more discreet but they notified me as soon as it arrived so not an issue all in all great product

Razer, not what it used to be!
1. Con: Microphone is cheap mono mic, not clear like previous Razer headsets with stereo mic. Enh. Mic Eq config. might fix this like Blue Voice does on Logitech. Pro: at least the Mic is removable. 2. Con Construction: plastic hinges instead of metal and USB cord is hard wired, expected jack on headset and replaceable cord due to prior Razer headset failure. Will you never learn and improve? 3. Not supported on Sensa HD SW cannot configure Haptic by app. Who wants to have Haptic vibration on Discord voice comms? 4. Pros: comfortable headset, accommodates large ears, very good sound Eq., light weight. I have many excellent quality Razer products but this is not one of them. Razer can't seem to understand what is important in a headset. Gimmicks don't override the main purpose of a headset. It must fit nearly everyone's head and ears well to eliminate external noise, be pain free and comfortable for hours of use, and the main purpose is to clearly hear the game and carry on a conversation. To do that the headset should be modular so you can replace parts that wear out like cords and ear pads. But the frame, speakers, microphone and USB electronics and software should be of excellent quality, not planned to break by the warranty expiration! 😡 For the price you charge they should last ten years. By then something better should replace it. Useless Gimmicks in order of least importance are OLED touch screen USB crap, apps that don't work, cordless batteries that die in the middle of a game and cause associated neck injury from a heavy unbalanced headset, colored lights, Haptic feedback that mostly doesn't work and ends up being turned off! Item returned for poor Razer quality and failure to meet the basic purpose of the device.

Great choice
My son loves this headset. Uses it every day. I saw my trainer had one in a meeting we had virtually. And I liked the fact that it’s easy to mute. So I decided to get it for my 16 year old. He uses it on the ps5 and his laptop. He is really happy that it’s comfortable. He is big on comfortability. This is like his tenth headset. He says he will stick with this brand.

Awful static that happens at random times, please read all edits
Thought I'd let you guys before you read my review. Make sure to leave the format at 16 bit, 48000Hz. If you set it to 16 bit, 96000Hz you will hear a ton of crackling and static noises. I tried multiple of the same headsets and they all had the same issue. Pros • Great sounding • Very comfortable. I wore them for 8 hours straight and felt no discomfort the entire time • HyperSense is awesome (high settings is too much for me, low-medium is best) • Nice RGB lighting on the sides • Long USB cable • Actually decent mic Cons • HyperSense might cause tension headaches if set to high • Replacing ear cups seems like a pain. Hard to take off and harder to put on new ones. The V2 headset earcups were very easy to take off and replace. They had a snap in mechanic. Overall, very solid headsets with a decent mic. Also, HyperSense technology to make gaming and listening to music more immersive. EDIT: I am changing my 5 star review to a 1 start review until Razer fixes this issue I power off my computer every night for bedtime. When I power on my PC , the headphones are not powered on at all. I have to disconnect and reconnect everyday. Why don't they power on with the rest of the PC? I've tried this on 4 different machines and same issue. This is annoying. I do a lot of work on my PC that requires at least 30 reboots throughout the day and to get up and unplug and plug back in for these headsets to work, makes me upset. Please fix this. EDIT # 2 - Got new ones and they worked great. Seems mine was defective. Changing back to 5 star. Issue was resolved in 1 day. EDIT #3 - After some time with these headsets, there has been this annoying issue of just random static crackling noise. It happens at the most random times and it's really annoying. As of January 20, 2022 - Razer released a huge Synapse 3 update. I was hoping they'd do some work on the headsets, but nothing. Here are the patch notes I had to ask an agent for.
