This is a great case. After my experience, I'd never use any other. Here's my story.I got ready for work and had several items I needed to take to my car. As I was putting things in my car, I put my phone (Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra) in it's Otterbox Defender case on top of the car. Being in a rush I got in the car and drove to work, a 14 mile drive. I drive on city streets for about 5.5 miles and get on the freeway. Like I normally do, I accelerate to 75 mph. I hit a small bump in the road and here a noise on top of my car and looking in the rear view mirror, I see a black object rolling behind me. As it is rush hour, I just cannot pull over. I look on thecseat next to me and I realize it was my phone.My heart sunk. Over the next 2 hours I make 5 passes where the phone fell off. Just about ready to quit and resigning myself to having to buy a new phone and set it up losing lots of data, I am on the shoulder of the exit ramp. I look over into the gore point and I see something. It sort of looks like my phone case. When it was safe, I walk over to it. It does look the rubbery part of the case, in a mangled state.I look down the road and I see something metallic and thin. Low and behold, it was my phone. I knew it was still working because I could run Find my Phone and it was reporting it's location and the charge percentage was going down. I couldn't use my laptop since it's battery couldn't hold a charge long. I check the phone and is mine. Everything seems to be working. One of the lenses has a scratch which doesn't show up when I use the camera and the pen was nowhere to be seen. The solid part of the case was gone too. But I was just glad to have the phone back and working.Don't try this at home, but needless to say, since my phone survived falling off my car at 75 mph and rolling along the freeway, I bought another Otterbox Defender case to protect my phone.

...BUT, is just 1 UNFORTUNATE DROP worth a repair bill of hundreds of dollars extra cost and/or ruined trade-in value? Otterbox Defender Pro series cushions all the way around, your phone is well inset below the raised edges on the all glass screen side of your phone, and on the other side, your camera array and your flash are likewise inset well beneath "table level" so that crumbs and spills and such will be much less likely to damage your phone. Access points for sim cards and push buttons are perfectly placed and work well, and the case has an integral cover to prevent damaging your charging/data transfer port, which is actually a part of this all silicone rubber exterior case. One caveat, as this is a multi-piece case, searching out OTTERBOX DEFENDER PRO INSTALLATION YouTube videos for your S23 ULTRA is a highly recommended first step to watch maybe just a few times in order for your first time installing an Otterbox Defender Pro series case on your new phone to be as easy as it can be.

Love Otterbox! It’s easy to put on and my phone can be dropped without having to really worry about it breaking(unless it’s the screen directly)

After three years of use it has protected my phone perfectly. The slide keeps the lenses clear of dust and water droplets but is loose in the track, won't stay open if the phone is turned to the side. That's the only reason i didn't give it five stars.

Otterbox's truely are the only case anyone should buy if they care about their phone. I've been using them for about 10 years now. I have run my phone over with a fork-truck baring a 12,00lb load on a concrete floor 3x in a row (I thought my phone was just a pies of wood or debris on the ground and phone was perfect the only thing that happened was the outer rubber of the case got a few mark. And with phones costing s much as they do nowadays (most close to and some over $1,000!) Its worth the little bit extra to have the piece of mind that it will be safe even if the Incredible Hulk trys to "Smash" it

They come with a lifetime warranty. Even tho the cases dont last forever I can get it replaced, and for that I'm a lifelong customer

I've had the case on my phone a couple months now very happy with the performance. Secure fit to my phone no wiggling or loose parts, cutouts line up perfectly, even has an enlarged hole to make it easy to pull-out the S pen. Has survived a number of small drops with no damage to case or phone, cleans easily and has a deep enough Ridge to keep the screen safe from damage

The slots for the sleep/wake and volume buttons are misaligned, overlapping at the bottom of the buttons, and holding them in.
