So Far so good
I used this on a metal standing seem roof, just in two valley created by an intersection and it seems to be clearing the snow. Last year's Montana winter was rough, and the snow built up to a massive, foot thick, block of ice. This is seemingly keeping that problem away so far. The clips didn't really work for the metal so I rigged it, but other than that, it seems like a good product. Only owned it a few months though, so I'm not sure on its longevity.

Bought two and only one works and I can't return the bad one of a new one!
I purchased two of these roof deicing cables, got them installed, put a new GFI outside plug and water proof enclosure, was happy I got it done before the snow started. Low and behold, it snows and one of the heat tapes do not work, so now I won't be able to replace because the return window has closed and the deicing cable is sitting under over a foot of snow!!! So I am out of luck all the way around on this one! Dang it!
