A very solid Performer with Great Bluetooth and Great Potential
I’ve been putting the Prunus J170 through its paces, and overall, I’m giving it a thumbs up. It’s a well-made, good-looking radio that performs well, though it’s worth noting that it is best appreciated when you understand its strengths and limitations. The Highlights: Bluetooth Performance: This is a standout feature for me. I frequently pair it with my phone or tablet, and the range is pretty good—I can have the source device on one end of my home while I’m several rooms away, and the connection remains excellent. AM/FM Reception: For standard listening, the reception is pretty good. On a scale of 1–10, I’d rate the radio experience as a 7; it’s very reliable for everyday use. Shortwave Capability: Shortwave works great, but you really need to be listening at or near sundown or after dark to pick up those broadcasts. Pro-Tip for Shortwave: To get the best performance, I highly recommend making a long-wire antenna. I made a 10-foot antenna using 14-gauge automotive wire with a stainless steel alligator clip that attaches right to the telescoping antenna (as shown in my attached photo). It makes a world of difference. Areas for Improvement: Missing Accessory: It would be a fantastic addition if the manufacturer offered a simple long-wire antenna as an optional accessory. Battery Design: My biggest critique is that the battery is not user-replaceable. If the battery fails prematurely, the whole radio could become e-waste, which is a shame given the quality of the unit. I believe it uses an 18650, which should be easily accessible for the end-user. Final Thoughts: I’ve included a video review alongside this to demonstrate the shortwave setup and show the radio in action. You’ll also spot my cat, Clara, making her debut as an inspector in the video—I have my suspicions that she’s secretly working for the FCC, but since she’s a natural on camera, I let her stay! Despite the battery and accessory suggestions, I’m very happy with this purchase and definitely recommend it.

Great little radio with bluetooth!
AM and FM radio. Rechargeable. And Bluetooth! I gave one as a gift for Christmas and loved it so much that I had to get one for myself. The sound is excellent and I love the vintage style.

Works Great
This was just what I was looking for. It has good sound and reception, is easy to tune, and easy to charge. A brief experiment on battery life - on a full charge I had it on for 30 hours and it was still going strong. Others have spoke about the lack of an indicator for when the battery is fully charged and I would agree that would be a nice to have feature. As it is, the unit has a small red light to indicate charging is happening but does not go off or change color to let you know. Although if you had one of those small power meters hooked up between your charging source and the unit, you could tell when it was full, but almost all of the small battery-powered devices have that function as part of the unit and I don't see why this radio does not have that. Oh well, one small nit-pick for an otherwise solid functioning and looking portable radio. I love mine!

Amazing battery life
I used it for over 14 hours on one charge. Beautiful, warm sound, not hollow sounding like others I've owned. Beautiful in design and sound.

Love it
Love this lil retro radio. Sound is even reminiscent of transister radios, which I love. I was tired of using earbuds and having something transmitted directly into my brain, because that actually gets physically uncomfortable after a while. This removes that annoyance and replaces it with the nostalgic sound of the radio coming into my home. I listen to books on tape mainly, and this has really added joy to my life. And all for an incredibly low price. If you're look for the best sound quality for your tunes because you're a connoiseur sound and can really tell the difference, this is not for you.

Very good retro radio
Very cool. It looks awesome. Just like an old radio. The speaker is great too. Works very very well. Can't go wrong for the money. There are a couple things that I'm nitpicking over but they don't effect the overall outcome of the radio. The materials used could be better, but for the price they're just fine. Also it'd be nice to have easier volume adjustment for Bluetooth from your phone, but it's not a big deal. Overall I highly recommend this.

Great retro radio with modern features
Way cool. Bought it to put in the back seat of our 1955 Ford Country Squire woody wagon while at car shows.

Not good sound quality for radio.
Cute and stylish design, but disappointing performance. The radio stations are not clear and there is constant static noise. Since radio was the main reason I bought it, this was a letdown. The antenna needs improvement to provide better sound quality.

SO cute and does the job!
I love it. It sounds pretty decent and it's fun flicking the switch from radio to bluetooth. It was easy to pair with my phone, but actually in this day and age it's quite novel having a radio in the house so I've been listening to that instead. Love!

Cute radio, but quality a little suspect
Works well enough, but antenna is only a press fit so it's pretty easy to rip it out if you extend a little too enthusiastically.
