Built for the Trails & the Deck — 4 Years of Ice-Cold Performance!
If you’re looking for the gold standard of durability, this is it. My husband and I each have one of these Yeti Colsters, and they have been through everything with us—from wooded hiking trails and long road trips to just relaxing on the back deck. Four years later, they still work as well as the day we bought them. The Real-World Specs: Size & Use: It’s the perfect size for a standard 12oz can. The vacuum insulation is no joke—it keeps beverages cold for hours, even in the summer heat. We use them daily, and they’ve never let us down. Carryability & Grip: Despite being rugged, it's very easy to carry around. The exterior coating provides a great, non-slip grip, even if your hands are wet or you're wearing work gloves. It fits perfectly in most standard cup holders, too. Durability: Yeti is probably the most durable brand out there. These have been dropped on gravel and tossed into bags, and they don't have a single dent. The screw-on gasket lid is made of a heavy-duty plastic that feels like it will never crack. Ease of Cleaning: This is a huge plus. The lid unscrews easily, and there are no hidden crevices where gunk can hide. It’s dishwasher safe, so cleaning it is effortless. The Verdict: You might pay a little more for the name, but for a product that lasts 4+ years and handles the outdoors this well, it’s worth every penny. It’s a "buy it once" kind of product that actually delivers on its promises!

Exceptional quality
The YETI Rambler 12oz Colster Can Insulator works perfectly and fits standard (not slim) cans and does its job. Keeps them cold! Great for gifting! They look very cool as well, with a nice smooth finish.

My dad is very happy with his new can insulator!
My daughter got this for my dad for Christmas and he really likes it because it keeps his drinks colder a lot longer than his other can insulators. Will be ordering a couple more in different colors to keep beverages cold on those warm summer nights. Easy to clean. Good quality materials (sturdy!).

Keeps my drink very cold
The Colster works extremely well, better than a store brand one. It keeps my drink cold. The top screws down completely with just a quarter turn. That feature is small but so convenient. I have the bright orange one and it looks great. This one can't hide from me as it stands out with that vivid color. I'm very pleased with my purchase.

Awesome at its job
This can insulator is really great. I’ve bought one for everyone I know that drinks canned drinks. It keeps the drinks cold much longer than regular koozies. Especially for someone that doesn’t drink very fast. It can take me an hour or two to finish a drink and it’s cold with this the whole time. I also love that this fits in all of my cup holders.

Quality, functional, and available in a color for anyone
I bought the YETI Rambler 12 oz. Colster after hearing great things, and it definitely lives up to the hype. It keeps my drinks cold much longer than the cloth koozies, even in the summer heat, and I love that it doesn’t sweat—my hands and tables stay dry. The build quality is excellent. It feels solid, the coating hasn’t chipped, and it's dishwasher-safe. The Load-and-Lock gasket is easy to twist on and holds cans securely in place. Standard 12 oz. cans fit perfectly, and it also works with bottles. The only downside is that it's a little heavier than typical foam koozies and not as convenient for carrying around. It’s also a bit pricey, but honestly, the performance and durability make it worth it. If you regularly enjoy canned drinks outside or at events, this is a great investment. I’d absolutely recommend it.

Works, but not enough better to justify cost
I usually drink beer from a glass, except when working in the garage, in which case I prefer the smaller opening of a can/bottle - less stuff falls/crawls in, and less liquid spills when I inevitably knock it over. For thermal and shock insulation, I'd been using some foam beer coolies for... ever. They keep the beer cold enough, and cushion the bottom when I set the drink on the concrete floor so it doesn't foam up and overflow. They're also long-since covered in various petroleum products, dirt, and other things I'd prefer to pretend aren't embedded in the foam when raising it to my lips for a sip. After a long period of considering "upgrading" to a Yeti, I decided to purchase one. My experience so far is: POSITIVE + Easy to clean - After a few oil changes, tire rotations, lawn mowings, etc. the cooler is spotless. I can clean it with soap and water or, if needed, stronger solvents. + Bare metal - I love the fact that the stainless color is actually bare stainless on the outside, with no clearcoat. It's better for the environment, easier to clean, and will look better over time because there's no superfluous paint layer to yellow or flake. + Works for 12 oz cans and some bottles - Standard 12 oz beer/soda cans are a perfect fit. Some bottles fit, and others rattle around; it depends on the shape of the bottle. I mostly drink canned beer when using the Yeti, so it meets my needs. + Easy to remove cans - Unlike the foam coolies, cans slide out easily. I don't have to bend my fingernails back trying to pry them out, or blow through a hole in the bottom to try to pop them out. NEUTRAL o Cold enough - It keeps my drink cold, but not substantially differently than a foam coolie. Maybe I'd find a difference if I measured the temperature with a thermometer over time but, in practice, given the time it takes me to drink a beer and the fact that I tend to enjoy warm-ish beer anyway, this is a draw for me. o Heavy bottom - My can always feels half-full because of the weight of the bottom-heavy Yeti, so I end up drinking it faster than I realize. I expect I'll get used to this over time. o No bottom cushion - I like the fact that the bottom is bare, smooth steel because it's easy to clean, but dislike the fact that I know I'm going to dent it by putting it down on hard surfaces, and it tends to slide around. I'll probably stick some Sugru on the bottom the first time it rattles off of my workbench when I'm sawing. o Touches my lip - The lock ring is high enough that my lip touches it when I take a sip. It feels like I'm going to dribble liquid down my chin, but that's never happened. I think it's just different than what I'm used to, and I'll probably adapt. NEGATIVE - Expensive - This device works well enough, but it's not a good value because of the exorbitant price. I mean, it's a can coolie. I rationalize it because 1) its clean, 2) I'll probably have it for the rest of my life, and 3) most of it is recyclable, none of which are true of my foam coolies. - Fit - While it fits standard 12 oz cans perfectly, it only fits some bottles, no slim cans, and no 16 oz cans. Yeti makes other coolies for most of these, but you'll be approaching a three-figure cost to outfit yourself with all of them. (Note that I did buy a 16 oz can adapter, which works well.) Overall, I'd neither recommend for or against this Yeti can coolie; it depends on your use case (and available cash). The positives and negatives compared to a foam coolie are pretty much the inverse of one another. So, if this meets your needs and you want to splurge, you'll be the happy owner of a well-built, simple product that does its job admirably. If you intend to use it for something other than exactly what it was designed for, you'll have wasted your money. Choose wisely.

The weather is quite chilly at the moment and my drinks are warm within minutes of being inside this thing (Can is ice cold straight from the fridge). It’s absurd this company can charge so much for such a useless product. Really disappointed because everything else I’ve tried from Yeti has been brilliant. Can’t recommend this product at all.
