Generally, with all the Joseph Alexander music books, they include tracks to play with or against and video examples of the technic or riff you are studying. These can really help if you also put in effort. Sometimes I even think to myself, "Oh, okay, so that's done this way, with just a little tweak I can do..." And it often works.Good solid Value IMO

Great book for developing your knowledge of licks by the greats. The added audio tracks are a huge bonus for those like me who need to hear the rhythm and tempo to help develop my skills. Highly recommended.

The "backstory" on all the rock greats with tabs and online support to help your learn the "language".A little advanced at this point for me considering my level of development, but by deconstructing the licks and taking it a little at a time I'm slowing getting some of them under my fingers. That along with the online support and I've got my work cut out for me for sometime. Sure some folks are more "gifted" naturally than others, but there's no substitute for putting in the work, and as long as you're going to do that you might as well learn it the right way the first time, rather then having to re-learn after the fact ( always harder). If this sounds like it makes sense to you, then this book is for you. A wise investment and one that will serve you well for sometime to come.

I've been playing for years and like many guitar players I found myself stuck at a plateau, everything started to sound the same, and I needed to break out. This book is making an excellent tool to aid in my goals, I also think it would help a new player build their "playing vocabulary".

The author covers 20 of some of the greatest rock guitarists with a small bio and several licks in the style of their music, along with recordings of the licks themselves. The recordings are crucial because in many cases you can't get the feel for the guitarists style from TAB alone. The author captures their style well without it being exactly what they played, so it really informs you about their style of play in general.Just a great book that I go back to again and again to learn about the guitarists and how their styles are unique to them! You can use this book in bits and pieces for years.

I'm new to playing, definitely a novice but this book as helped me with a ton of information. It's easy to follow and you definitely get a good mix of brilliant songs from past, present idols . This is a great start to learning, plenty of practice with repetition and hopefully within a few months I'll be starting to sound something like I'm supposed to. That's my hope, time and patience will tell.

Book came very promptly .Its as it said in the ad. For a struggling guitarist in his 70's great way to learn some riffs .Excellent backing tracks you can download for free. Took me a while to download them but not vert pc literate. Would recommend this book to all levels of player.
