Love my new device! Replacement for Nook Simpletouch!
I was very pleased when I received this device. The seller represented the condition well! This is a replacement for a Nook Simpletouch which will be sunsetted in June. Set up was a breese: Fully charge, Log out of your BN account in your Android App, erase and deregister your old device, go through set up on the new device including OS updates, go through a short tutorial, wait for your library (Saved to the cloud) to refresh, re log into your BN app on Android, and that's it! To address complaints, first, if you tap on your name there should be a prompt for adjusting your glow light settings (I immediately turned mine way down!). Second, I had absolutely no issues connecting to Wifi, the only reason you really need it is for setup (Including updates), retrieving your books from cloud storage, updating gc and payment information, and purchasing new content. Keeping WiFi off and adjusting glowlight greatly extends battery life. Because this device is much smaller than the OG Nooks like Gen 1, Simpletouch, and Glowlight, you absolutely should buy a protective case. I bought a Finite but please read my review when I post it, unfortunately the cutouts are not as accurate as represented and the buttons are partially obscured. If you can find a better option I recommend it, challenged hands will encounter difficulty. Question: Why must I log out of my BN App on my Android? Answer: Because your app needs to update to reflect your new device. For example the screen interface is different on the 4e than on the OG Nooks. Overall, I am pleased with my experience thus far and love the convenience of either reading via app if I don't want eyestrain or with my Nook itself if I am traveling or without WiFi access.

Easy to hold
When I ordered this product, I was concerned about the small size. There was no need for concern. I love it!!! It is easy to hold and light weight. I can easily read the screen. It is also easy to carry in my purse or travel bag. Set up was no problem.

I Love My Nook!
I needed to upgrade my Nook because Barnes and Noble will be discontinuing service to the older models. My original Nook is 10 years old and I love it. The new model is very similar to my original model and I am very satisfied with it.

Can't use without B&N account
I set up nook tablet. Was surprised and annoyed to see when setting up tablet, I had to create a barnes and noble account. Then I loaded ebooks I had on my laptop. (these ebooks were not purchased from barnes and noble or amazon.)I was able to shut off wifi on tablet, however I don't like having to be logged in to b/n account via nook tablet when I just want to read my ebooks. Also, I wanted to logout of acct on tablet, no way to do this.Called b/n cust svc, they said there is no way to logout of nook tablet!I don't stay logged in on any of my devices when I'm not using them, and the fact that they make this tablet so you can't even logout is a deal breaker for me.I used to have an older nook tablet that I did not have to have a b/n account to use.Seems like nook tablets have changed. Also, the screen was extremely slow, when using stylus to type text and search around tablet, it took forever for letters/words to show up on the screen.Settings are not intuitive; had to hunt around just to find some basic setttings; some were hidden in difficult to find places. As I do not like being in anyone's "walled garden," which I feel b/n is trying to do; I have ordered a samsung 8" android tablet. Will install ebook reader app, then I can load ebooks on tablet, read, and shut off tablet without having to logon to any account, etc.Bye Bye Nook Tablet!!

hate it
Loved my old white Nook. Barns and Noble stopped supporting it. I had some unread books in the cloud I did not want to lose so I bought the new model. Hate it. The buttons on the side are not comfortable placed and difficult to use. Using the touch screen to change pages is not reliable. The screen jumps back several pages or just gives me a page to modify the screen. I constantly am trying to find the page I was reading. I still have not figured out how to set up my nook for storage of read and unread books. At least my books in the cloud did transfer onto this new device. But over all, I was very happy with my old nook, this one, not so much. Shame on Barns and noble. I am no longer adding books and will try Kindle when I have read all the books in the cloud. If starting out new on readers, beware Barns and Nobel can pul the plug at any time!!!
