Tetra Aquarium External Filter EX800 for Optimum Water Quality Inside the Fish Tank

I was so reluctant to get a large filter as I thought it would be noisy. It was very fiddly to set up, took me an hour or so (complete novice), and a bit tricky to get the suction started but on my third attempt, it is now running perfectly smoothly and so quiet! I had to check it was still running as I couldn’t hear anything. I would say it’s about the same level as a standard fridge. I’ve managed to tuck mine into the cabinet under the aquarium and I’m so glad I bought it. Almost instantly, all of my plants were pearling and the snails are super happy. Can’t wait to add some fish 😊

I love these filters i have 2 tanks , i have an 800 on one and a 1200 on the other, the main things i like are simple design, large media trays, i run full cycle media siporax allows me to get masses of media in, silent in operation, low power consumptiin, easy to clean, easy to prime and start, flow figures are accurate good flow, build quality is good and best of all is price,

Having read reviews before purchasing the ex800, I was a little dubious, having said that, once it's set up and the system primed the filter is a cracking bit of kit.

I started malfunctioning after few weeks. It was difficult to start it every time after cleaning. The it randomly stopped working a couple of times and had to re-started again. I decided that it must have faulty mechanism or something so decided to return or exchange. However to my shock Amazon would only allow to return or exchange within 28 days! Shocking as warranty says 3 years! I was forced to buy a new filter as water quality obviously deteriorates after couple of days, so can’t risk fish getting sick. I will try contacting Tetra to return but that takes days, weeks for any action. Extremely disappointed.

Been using for a few weeks now very quiet well made and filtering the water well. I had to get in touch with tetra directly to make sure I got the newer plus model due to ambiguous item descriptions and photos on amazon and amazon customer services being unable to confirm which of the 2 units they were selling was the newer model although the cost was a clue

Bought this one after one clamp failed on the old one, I've had for many years of good use of. Only 4 star because they removed the handle on the top which made it easy for lifting and positioning. They have improved the O ring seal where it use to make seal on the side of the top motor and canister now is on the base of the top motor and clamps down onto the canister.

having set up similar filter before ease of set up very good found instructions quite good to follow now been running for 1 week and tank is really cleaner all bottom rubbish has been cleared by this filter. delivery was very quick

All round excellent, its so quiet that I actually checked it working, plenty of output and very easy to set up.

Me encantan estos filtros, tengo 2 tanques, tengo un200 en uno y un 300 en el otro, las cosas principales que me gustan son funcionamiento silencioso, bajo consumo de energía, fácil de limpiar, fácil de cebar e iniciar, las cifras de flujo son buen flujo preciso, la calidad de construcción es buena y lo mejor de todo es el precio,

Produit efficace mais est arrive avec un emballage bien abimé et en version de prise de courant anglaise la doc également n’était pas en françaisheureusement le produit était en bon état

Avevo già un filtro Tetra EX 800 PLUS dopo i sui 5 anni di uso ininterrotto ha cominciato a perdere un po' di potenza quindi , visto che non mi ha mai dato problemi , non trovando un alternativa migliore quindi super soddisfatto , per non rischiare ho preferito ricomprare lo stesso modello. La consegna è stata rapidissima , prodotto arrivato nuovo , imballato senza alcun problema . Il filtro non ha problemi di perdite di acqua ed è silenzioso, chi dice che fa rumore non ha avuto esperienze con altri filtri, è normale che si sente un piccolo sibillio perché per far muovere 800 litri di acqua /h, lo spostamento del fluido crea normalmente un piccolo rumore più che altro proviene dai tubi, conviene togliere le bolle di aria che si formano all'interno in avvia premendo il pulsante . Io ho l'acquario in camera da letto e riesco a dormirci senza problemi perché non si sente nulla. Unica pecca, ho dovuto sostituire la spina elettrica perché mi è arrivato con la spina tipo Regno Unito, ma 2 minuti ho risolto il problema. 5 stelle meritate per Tetra per i sui prodotti e 5 stelle ad Amazon.

A los 9 meses ha dejado de funcionar. He comprado otro chino en el mismo momento y sin problemas.
