Buy Kill Your Boss: The Intern's Handbook (A John Lago Thriller) 1 by Kuhn, Shane (ISBN: 9780751552348) from desertcart's Book Store. Everyday low prices and free delivery on eligible orders. Review: One helluva fun ride. Probably Tarantino's next movie. - Juicy, badass and inventive page turner. Great plot idea, hilariously compelling. Right when you think you've figured out where its going and start mourning the end, it takes another crazy and immensely well executed turn. Think Headhunters meets Pulp Fiction meets The Firm meets American Hustle, narrated by a smartass yet humble 24 year old you should despise but root for while biting your nails and hiding in a toilet stall at the office to read another page. But don't expect it to be just fluff, Mr Kuhn throws in lines that will make you stop and think about life, death, love and poetry. Oh and did I mention fun? Got strange looks while i laughed out loud on the tube clutching to my ipad, almost missing my stop. Review: Dark, wry humour makes for a gripping read. - I picked this up after a recommendation from a friend. Dark, great plot and great characters, and consistently amusing. Its wry take on the white collar world of assassination makes this a page-turning must-read. In places it's campy and over-the-top and that's absolutely great. It reads like some of the best work of Chuck Palahniuk and that's no bad thing. Pick it up now, it's well worth your time.

Internships for ninjas
I work in HR (though my boss is fab, I hasten to add!) This book is really different to the usual stuff I read but the title tickled me. I liked that it was written in the form of a handbook to other "interns" and whilst there were a few sections which were a little over the top (yes, I know it's fiction but one guy fighting off 8 heavily-armed, trained ex-Navy Seals etc was reminiscent of a Steven Segal film), on the whole it was entertaining and I fought sleep on several nights as I didn't want to put it down. And I'm a girl.

very enjoyable
An unusual format for a novel, written as an assassins hand book by a soon to be an ex assassin . Witty and well written make this a very enjoyable read. A typical "take it on holiday" book light but engaging. Well worth it.

Loved it!
A trained killer double crossed by his boss! John Lago is brilliant, quick and lethal. This book is fast paced and super enjoyable!

Disappointing
I read this directly after being spoilt by the master Stephen King so Shane Kuhn was at a disadvantage from the start. Unfortunately, it highlighted the gulf between a veteran and a novice. Interesting premise but wholly unbelievable characters (especially John Lago) and hilarious descriptions of fight scenes. Not a great debut.

This was surprisingly good. I hoped for Fight Club - and it wasn't that, but it was gripping and dark and I now have a recipe for the world's best cup of coffee.

The concept was definitely interesting! But instead of expanding on it, the story just became a rehashed spy story. It's alright for a quick read.

Interesting concept but it went too long.
