PolyHero Dice Rogue: d20 Lock & Pick - Cold Iron with Ice White

This was part of a Christmas present for my brother and he loved it. The color is great and the spinning is very satisfying. The rest of our party was incredibly excited to play with it as well.

I love this… I love polyhero dice. I actually got one of these lock d20s as part of my set through their rogue set Kickstarter but although I’d debated ordering another set for my best friend, who likes to play rogue-y characters, she hadn’t seemed that interested at the time. Then her birthday comes around and what do I see on her wishlist? At least I already knew it was an awesome ‘die’ so I had no doubts about buying it now. I’ve seen some people complain about this being essentially a top with a cover but I don’t really understand what they wanted? It looks like a lock and pick and functions as a d20, I think it’s awesome! (I got the dark one, got her the bronze, I think both colors look great… I just like the blue-black better, personally.)

Like other reviewers, will confirm this set is just a spinning top of numbers, with a lock covering. Flick the top downwards to lock in a 'die roll' and stop the spinner, which is then visible thru the lock cover 'keyhole.' Inexpensive, but all my players wanted to try it and the thief character had a blast!

This was even better than I'd hoped! My boyfriend loves rogue characters and he fell in love with this die immediately. Major score on this gift!

So honestly I was super excited for this item. Fair warning it is literally a top with a lock shaped cover you slide over it and then when it stops you move the handle to read it.Its still really cool but not quite what I was expecting.
