When I ordered the Garmin Quick Release Lanyard, I thought - what a lot of money for a string! But, I am impressed with the quality of this Garmin 'string'. It is strong and gives me the confidence that my Garmin accessories with remain securely with me.

You get what you pay for
Quality item. Yes I’m sure there are cheaper versions out there but this is well designed, easy to use, and gives confidence it’s going to keep my Garmin secure, so worth the money.

Good for providing extra security with a bike mount
I bought this to provide a second line of safety when using my new Oregon 600 on a bike mount. The main cord is thicker than I was expecting but it does the job well, and the thick cord is probably more suitable for holding by hand. The release catch is also bulky compared to the lanyard I have used for years with my old Oregon 450. The bike mount actually works fine on its own.

Does what it's meant to do, perhaps a bit expensive for what it is. Seen cheaper ones but not sure of the quality.

Didn't bother going for the carry case as the Oregon ...
Didn't bother going for the carry case as the Oregon 600T unit seems fairly robust, so just went for this instead. Tough and does what it's supposed to.
