DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY
This Product is possibly my worst Amazon purchase ever, and I've bought a lot of dubious stuff on Amazon! Here are the reasons you shouldn't buy this piece of junk1) even with a clear sky and 30°c heat, this ring would barely charge even after hours.2) it's nowhere near the 15000ma it claims to be. More like 5000ma. I was able to charge my Android phone twice. As I'm able to charge it 4x using a 4 year old 10000ma RAVpower bank, this is underwhelming at a huge scale, particularly when this device was bought to replace the old power bank that still out performs it3) 6 months later, it didn't hold a charge at all.STAY CLEAR!

Not good
Despite it's nice light design, it does not serve the purpose. It doesn't matter for how long I'd put it in the sun, as it does not charge more than 1 out of 4. I've put it in sunny places for more than a week and it charges 1, then the 2nd starts blinking, but it doesn't charge, next thing you see is that it is back and charging on the first light. Trust me I've given it plenty of sun light while I was travelling in Eastern Europe over the summer.I also dislike the fact that it has only one button to operate both the charging and the LED light...it takes some playing with it to figure it out, as the minimal instructions don't tell you how to switch on or off the LED light. If you charge it in the socket, it works okay as a normal battery bank, but otherwise it is useless for a solar charger... so if you want a solar charger, find another one.

An epic fail ... saved by customer service
A week later I have decided to add to this review after deciding to take the device apart to look at how it's made. The solar panel in it is a 1.5W unit and so it should be able to charge the battery in 10 - 12 hours depending on the efficiency of the charging circuitry. The problem with the panel is that it needs to be completely in direct sunlight (i.e. pointed at the sun with no shading at all) in order to achieve this power. If the panel had any shading all (i.e. poking out of a bag or a strap across it to hold it) or is not directly facing the sun the power generated drops off dramatically. This is typical for low-cost, small solar panels. So, as a solar charger it's a bust. When charged using USB it charges relatively quickly and after two days just sitting on the bench it is still holding a full charge, This is contrary to its behaviour when I was traveling. Maybe something odd happens when you start to use the power to charge something? Don't know at this point - I will try an experiment to run the device down to half power and then leave it to see what happens to the remaining charge. At the end of the day as a power store that isn't reliant on the sun it is not so bad. But the whole point of a "solar charger" is for it to be useful when it's off-grid.First addition:I just heard back from the company that sells this product so I've changed my review from 1 star to 3 stars. The reason for this is that they gave me a full refund! So, they get 5 stars for customer service but the product still only deserves 1 star - so that averages out at 3 stars. Here's my original review on the product but the bit about them not getting back to me has been removed, because they did.Original review:I bought this charger for use on a biking trip. It has been an almost complete bust. Charging via the solar panel is useless - a full day in the sun and only one of the four charge indicator LEDs lights up (presumably meaning that the unit was a quarter charged?) but it wouldn't even turn on the LED torch. As a test I left it in the sun for several days when I got home and it still wouldn't charge! It charges fine from the USB connection, but this just then leads you to the next problem - it will not hold it's charge. When I used it this way I was able to charge my iPhone on the day after charging it overnight (which is why it wasn't a complete bust). However, within a day the charge had depleted. I don't know why it self-discharges as nothing was connected to the unit and the LED torch was off. I have a smaller battery pack (not a solar one) that holds its charge for months.I guess that if you charge it from a USB charger every night then it could be used for the following day, but that's not what I bought it for.In summary, nice looking but doesn't do what it should. Great size and form factor, abysmal performance.

Has stopped charging, solar panel painfully slow when it did work
The product seemed moderately fine for the first two discharges. I thought that it lost it's charge quite quickly and it charges painfully slow via the inbuilt solar panel. More than a day was required I'm blisteringly hot weather to charge up just one of the four LEDs.The device has stopped charging my devices at all. Perhaps my model was faulty, but I am away on holiday and feel frustrated by this.Edit: the seller has gotten in touch with me to post a full refund, I've been quite happy with their swift response.

Simply doesn't work at all - waste of money.
Does not work. Fails to charge in the sun. Charges my phone for five minutes then stops, even when my phone's battery is far from full. Left for days in the sun, yet this charger actually LOST charge!! Complete waste of time and money.

Not sure
Not sure how solar panel is working or working at all. I left charger in my garden at the same level like my outdoor solar lamp for all day & blue indicator at the night was on the same level. Yesterday was sunny day. I’ll try when it will be sun again, but my solar lamps can take energy on cloudy day. I think it hasn’t be a problem for this device

Handy & lightweight.
This was purchased as a gift for a family member who is a fisherman, who often travels abroad to fish. This was used for protection for the solar charger. He loved it, but as it has been used only once, cannot comment on it's durability.

Never charged from the solar panel
I needed this for charging in a remote area i was going to, four months after purchase, (by which time the guarantee had expired). When I came to use it, it never charged from sunlight...only from mains ; which wasn't much use to me! I don't know why it never worked. The instructions, translated from Chinese, made no sense. I wrote to the company but got no response.
