Simple but effective.
I bought this to water about 8-12 tomato plants while away from home. I have used it twice and it watered them very well while they were indoors in my garage. It was quite easy to set up. You do have to cut up the plastic tubes which feed the drippers. Make sure of the length between each dripper before you cut it!There are a few rules to using this. Firstly it can water plants between 10 and 40 days. The less days you choose, the more water is supplied to the plants each day. It waters twice a day, presumably at 12 hour intervals, commencing when you turn it on. You will need to experiment to find the correct amount of water for each plant, depending on pot/ plant size etc. For example If you have less than 20 plants you could place 2 drippers in larger pots and one in smaller pots, or alternatively you can select less days than you are away for, so you get more water each day.The manual tells you keep it out of the sun and not recommended for outdoor use. Presumably (and this is ONLY my opinion), it could be used outdoors in a moderate climate if you can protect the unit from sun and rain. I have not tried this. Also, the unit needs to be higher than the plants (this is logical since water does not usually run uphill!), so think where you will place it. You need to fill the reservoir with water and when full it's very heavy, so don't place it higher than you can lift it. Mine is almost against the roof and not easy to lift up, and too high up to fill in advance.Don't let my comments put you off. Overall this is a very good watering device amd I recommend it unreservedly.

Excellent product
When I returned from holiday last year all my patio pots, window box troughs and hanging baskets were either dead or dying, so I invested in this. I planted them all up this year the week before I went away, arranged them in the conservatory and followed the instructions that came with the claber oasis. What a difference, it worked like a dream and all the plants were flourishing. I didn't have saucers, so I used a small blue plastic tarpaulin with corners squared and held with clothes pegs, thus the pots were all contained in a large plastic 'paddling pool'. I set the timer for twice as long as I would be away, otherwise the plants would have been over watered. ( Do read all the instructions and information carefully.)There was very little mess in the tarpaulin, about a cup and a half of water that had drained out of the pots. I also put two drippers into the longer toughs. Very impressed with this and it was well worth the money, but as I've said, read the instructions carefully and protect the floor.

Seemes to have struggled
Seemed to work ok, though very sensitive to air in the line. I set it up for a trial before I went away and it seemed to be working alright, though initial flow seemed stronger than after 24 hours and it's not clear from instructions whether the stated volume is delivered at a constant rate or not. After 10 days away, my 12 plants were droopy and clearly in need of a good watering, but still alive, and after a soaking looking fine.So I guess it did the job, but only just, when, according to the manual, this was at the lower end of it's capability so it should have been a breeze.

Really useful system
It's simple and it works. The huge advantage is that essentially it is a plastic box that you fill with water, therefore it can be used anywhere . The water is dispensed by means of a battery operated timer and you can set it to run up to 40 days (less days =more water each day). Was easy to set up the tubing and drippers. I have used it twice now for up to a week to water a small greenhouse and it was fine. Would work well for houseplants too. This has completely solved my watering problems when away, my neighbours are the best ever but are not gardeners....... Would recommend happily if you want a self-contained unit

It worked fine
Works good. I believe it's a little bit overpriced.

waste of time for greenhouse..
I bought this thinking 'you get what you pay for' so expected a really efficient watering system.I have had it on the 10 day setting - a month or so later, there is still water left in tank.. It drips twice daily.. I think.. but is really not enough to keep plant alive, I bought it mainly for when I went to Australia for 4 weeks, but no way would it be enough to keep plants watered.I have used it in Greenhouse, but surely this would not have made a difference.. that is the main area we need a watering system.I feel I have wasted £58, now I see its cheaper..
