John Thompson's Modern Course First Grade 2012

I bought the second grade book first and thought it was very good although some of the pieces are a bit difficult for me so I bought the first grade book. I have just worked my way through it and have just started going through the second grade book again. I really enjoy playing from these books.

I am an older piano learner, the book is not for the complete beginner pianist, it is more advanced. Perhaps up to early level 2. I bought the 2012 edition after much thought, it is a little more expensive. Glad I did. The pages are white, the book looks brilliantly clean and up to date. I have some of this series, the older books. The pages are yellowed and dated looking. Not so with this version. The tunes to learn may be dated but they play well and sound good. They are fun. I am very happy I chose this one.

Tatty corners but did not return as needed for lessons

My partner found this music book, recommended by tutor, was ideal to continue to make progress with/ improve her music lessons.

The book is as expected.and came in reasonable time.

Easy to learn

This book was recommended by a piano teacher and my son finds it helpful.
