Enjoyable and fun
To preface this, I'm a rider. Part of a close-knit group of guys who torque out on the weekends and have a good time. Not a part of a club but I have interacted with patched guys. Have always had a fascination with the lifestyle, read Hunter Thompson's "Hells Angels" at a very young age along with Sonny Barger's book and several others so I know more then the average bear about the unwritten rules of MC's and the terminology they use. With that being said I enjoyed the hell out of "Down and Dirty: Zak" The author has definitely put in some research if not likely been an "old lady" or hang-around herself at some point I like to imagine lol. Some cliche and over the top parts that had me cringing slightly but as I think about it, I think that is actually the appeal of this book. It's told mostly entirely from Sophie's perspective, who is a total and complete outsider to the biker culture and lifestyle - thus a slightly skewed interpretation of the unwritten rules and customs of the club lifestyle. Zak and the DAMC, at least in this book, are keeping things legal and (besides the bedroom antics) mostly PG - which is to be expected as Zak's motivation is to stay out of prison and make the club respectable. Especially when he has close family in the police force. I am intrigued to read the other books/character studies of some of the other members and whether they may have a more ambiguous moral code. All in all this was a fun read, and well worth the price of admission (in my case it was free as the book was on sale). I hope to see Z and Sophie in some of the later books and the role they play in the DAMC world.

Zak & Sophie
MF, no cheating/sharing, low-med. heat, HEAHe just got out of prison after a 10 year stint - she was delivering the cake to his welcome home party. He thought she was part of the welcome home - she decided to give in to her desires. He couldn't stay away - she couldn't resist. He knew from the first second - she took a while to accept the inevitable - but when she did, she was all in. Lots of family drama, all the feels - excellent story!

So good, I already got the next books in the series! Intense 🔥great characters/storyline and hot🔥
Why is this my first Jeanne St. James book!? Where have I been???First off, I love the writing style. It kind of reminds me of KA (Kristen Ashley)- one of my all time favorite books of hers is Motorcycle Man.Zak gets out of jail after being in there for 10 years. On the night of his release, he meets Sophie, the person that baked his welcome-home cake. He thinks she’s a stripper that’s there to rock his world, but she’s not. However, he doesn’t really give her the chance to explain herself, and he’s hot so she just goes with the flow (and I’m soooo glad she did 😉). The connection between them is pretty instant. I love how she fights his alpha-ness and has a backbone, which means she’s not a doormat and stands up for herself. As the story progresses, their feelings for each other intensifies, but she is still in denial, seeing that they met such a short time before. A rival MC puts a damper on their future and they need to decide what they need to do to keep everything legit and clean while staying alive. Sophie doesn’t wanna give up, but she also loves her bakery and her independence, but sometimes decisions aren’t as easy to make.I love the connection between Zak and Sophie. I mean, he’s tough when he needs to be and damn is he very sweet as well! I actually got teary eyed a couple of times! (And one of them was when Zak is with his dad- ugh, got me!). He explains what needs explaining while still being respectful of Sophie and their relationship. I enjoyed the fact that he seemed to be enamored with her before she admitted her feelings (love that he chases her and she tries to stop things from moving forward but just can’t help herself 👏🏻). The epilogue is cute! Loved it!I can’t wait to read book 2 (and at least up to book 5- Axel and Bella’s story). Although this is my first book by JSJ, it’s definitely not my last.

easy read
The book was fine. Can’t say much more about it than that. I personally did not like the writing style so I will not be continuing the series. I may see if any of the authors other books are written in a different style, but on a good note there were no grammatical errors so it was a pleasant, easy read. It was a quick read, but not much to it. I don’t think anything really got solved, but that probably happens in the rest of the series.

Fun MC Romance
MC romance is not my usual go to. I did however, like this book. The meet cute was a rather humorous case of mistaken identity. I liked that there wasn’t over the top violence and that the MC was “going legal”. Overall a fun read I’ll probably continue the series to see what happens with the rest of the brothers.

Good Classic MC Story
A MC plot that is easily followed and well written. It’s easy to read, not to many 'fancy' words, just a hole lot of 'biker lingo', and the storytelling is (to me at least) how it should be; detailed, but only important/relevant details.I enjoyed it, and I might even take a look at the next one. ✨👌🏼

I LOVE this book!!!
I know when I read this book originally, I left a review but noticed it somewhere along the way disappeared so I wanted to be sure I wrote another.I cannot explain adequately how much I love this book and love this entire series. There just aren’t enough words to describe and covey how good it is.This book is EVERYTHING you want in a romance - super hot Alphamale, perfect heroine who is strong, perfectly developed characters who are so real that you feel they are your friends, intriguing storyline that never lags, super spicy good stuff, MC drama, a heartwarming HEA and above all else - a chosen family that you’ll want to be part of.Zak and Sophie are the King and Queen of this generation of the Dirty Angels MC. They are an amazing couple who meet under unique circumstances. I’ve re-read this series multiple times and each time, I fall more in love with these characters.

Zak: Dirty Angels MC (1)
Zac has just had 10 yrs in prison for something he didn't do, today he's out. One of his brothers came to pick him up. Not his blood brother or his dad, he's a convicted felon & they're cops. Who needs them, his club brothers throw him a party. One of the guys brought along 3 of the strippers from the strip club. Another ordered a cake. Sophie hasn't been in town long, she's just establishing herself as a baker in town she had a little inheritance and bought a bake shop, it's her dream. After a bit of car trouble she's running a bit late, now she'll need to find where to put the cake, as she wanders the empty room she bumps into Zak, who having sunk a few drinks immediately assumes she's 1 of the strippers throws her over his shoulder and takes her to his room locking the door and starting to strip off. Sophie is worried at 1st then thinks nobody will know, what the hell. Dam good book, Jeanne St. James writes excellent MC, can't wait to get stuck into the next 9.Sue P

Dirty and Sweet
This is a story of falling in love with the wrong or what you think is wrong kinda guy. I liked the story but after they meet and start to get to know each other it kinda skips about... There are lots of loose ends at the end which I guess is going to be answered in the series eventually... But him meeting his mom never happens which really was the only reason his sister showed up... Him becoming President not happened, his relationship with his family not happened, I guess it felt like this was only part of Zak and Sophie's story... It is a series so hopefully his sister and brother have stories to fill in some of the missing bits.
