Expensive but worth it.
I’ve used a variety of pencils for colouring over the last few years, Derwent (beautiful for light shading but not blendable enough for me), Faber Castell Polychromos (soft, rich pigment and easily blended) plus cheaper pencils (Crayola colouring pencils are amazing for their pigment but break more easily).A friend recommended these Luminence pencils and I was taken aback at the price but after doing some reading decided on trying out 12 just to see if they were as good as their reputation.I have to say they are amazing and work beautifully, rich pigmentation, blend well and are lovely and soft. Their lighter colours (including white) show up well even on cream/whit paper which is something I haven’t noted with other brands. This set includes a mix of 12 colours across the spectrum from black to white. Enough to really get a feel for them. They come in a sturdy cardboard container which is good enough to be kept, it’s a shallow box with a lid to lift off and the pencils are nestled in a foam insert to protect them.No regrets about my purchase but probably won’t buy any bigger sets and will buy other colours individually.

Beautiful pencils but these are NOT new colours
I bought these thinking they were 12 of the recent release colours but they were not. This listing is misleading calling them new but the pencils themselves are absolutely beautiful. They cut down my blending time significantly as they blend like butter. The colours are highly pigmented and the softness makes them gentle on my sore hands. The only downside is that they get used up quicker than harder lead pencils but it is worth it because they are a joy to work with.

Excellent.
Worth the expense as they do so much more for my style than any other medium I have (plus much cheaper on Amazon).BrightEasy to blend - with the pencils aloneEasy to sharpenGreat Lightfast ratings so work doesn’t fadePretty opaque so can easily go over and rework bitsDoesn’t make much debris.Available in single pencils, great for me as I get through certain colours more.I did have a note in my box saying they would be making some changes to later batches, so worth checking on the official website.

Brilliant pencils, the best I have ever used.
These pencils are amazing for any colourist, they really enhance your art. Very vibrant, well packaged and easily sharpened. My only issue is they are so darned expensive, quality definitely, but too expensive for me, shame I love em.

Nice pencils but missing primary colour
Bought these in December but only just started using them and discovered that there are 2 browns in the box and no red. Disappointed as they cost so much. 🙁

Quality at a cost, worth it of course
Worth the expense, the pencils never fail to deliver wonderful results. The size and feel is excellent. Paper choice is important to get the best from them. They come securely packaged in tough cardboard box lined with high density foam, perfect for storage and travelling.

The art world already knows
These dont really need another review, if you have made it this far then you will probably already have heard that these are the best colouring pencils you can buy and they are not wrong, they are the very best and they are worth every penny you would pay for them, they are the definition of you get what you pay for.

Lovely pencils
These I think are the best you can buy, will certainly buy more when my Fab Cast pencils run out. Very easy to blend.

Vivid Colors
I have never seen Caran d'Ache pencils before. The colors are vivid. Good core. I can hardly wait to start using them! Recommended by Bonny Snowdon Academy.

Nice but I prefer Prismacolor Premiere
I know these are considered some of the best quality colored pencils, and I do love Caran d'Ache Neos, but I didn't think their colored pencils were any better than the more affordable Prismacolor Premiere brand. Personally, I prefer PP because I think they're softer and more vibrant.
