Zangar works for Dakar who killed her father and she will move mountains to take him down but Eve is her solution to finding the tomb . Added in we have the CIA connection through Novak and he arrives because of Eve and things move in different directions but the danger is just beginning. The CIA director and the President are tight and both aligned with Dakar. Maldara is where they are and it’s dangerous on a usual day but when Eve decides to stay in the village with her friend , the end result will destroy the village, fires started and lives in danger as Eve has to explain to the EMT’s that her friend Leta is going with her husband to the hospital, new rules . But let’s not forget Joe snd Michael.As we get to know Novak we realize his power and in order to protect Riley he sends for Morgan Cade who is powerful, rich and connected and owes Novak a favor. Meeting Riley will prove an experience but they just might be evenly matched but she’s determined to have the upper hand. He’s smart, sharp and things will get interesting but first everyone goes to the hospital to learn about Leta’s husband.The conversation between Riley and Cade lets you know there is definitely tension , power struggles and it should get interesting.Moving the team to to where they will search for Helen and doing the research about her including literature from the past, we get to know Cade in detail, Jon Kirby and his team plus we hear the voices of Dakar and the President fighting for control. The President not only wants Eve and Riley but he wants to take on the medical system. They are going to Azerbaijani to search for answers.With the teams in place and Cade and Riley trying to outdo each other things get tense and the author allows us to be part of Riley’s dream with Helen. The cave might have bats, and poisonous snakes but when the sarcophagus is found and the reconstruction about you begins, Eve is ready but the danger is not far away. Dakar is what Cade wants and will take down, Riley is at times overpowering and extremely self-assured. Joe is now part of the team and events are a part to become dangerous.Threats are made, Dakar contacts Riley, and warnings are quite explanatory but when Cade questions her why does she hide the truth about the call. At times she works as a team and others alone. Where will this wind up and will Dakar get Eve and Helen?Hearing the threats and then Cade finding out, will they stop what Dakar has planned before another agent is hurt or killed?Listening to both sides and the justification that Dakar claims he has for wanting to prove himself to the President, will he succeed in getting Eve and Riley? The research about Helen is extensive and the result will surprise you.The reconstruction was in place but did Eve create Helen as Riley expected. But one man would not give up and lives are in danger when faced with Dakar and the President. A hidden attack and Eve is captured but the final scenes will have you in fear as one man thinks he’s winning but watch what happens you won’t believe it. Some endings are final when others are not. Where will Riley wind up? What about Cade? What happens to the bullet and what is next for Eve? A reconstruction so amazing and breathtaking but is it A face to die for

Fairly interesting plot and interesting characters. Fortunately, there is a billionaire, special forces trained male with supplies, people, and equipment to save the day.

I like how each book brings a totally new adventure while still keeping the things that make it familiar. It is so easy to put yourself into the story. Ms. Johansen totally draws you into the story.

Great story with some new characters. Enjoyed reading this story and could envision the scene because of the descriptions. Loved this story and can’t wait to read the next book.

Very good condition for a used product!

I have read every book in this series and was disappointed that the story line was not about Eve and Joe but a new character and their story so I felt cheated missed the normal tense story line that is usually a Eve Duncan story.

Another Eve Duncan novel that doesn’t disappoint. Facing several threats at once keeps it lively though out. Take a look for yourself!
