LOVE this leash. When I first used it I was a little concern because it felt kind of heavy. After a couple more walks I fell in love with it. I think my other leash was just so cheaply made (and falling apart) I wasn't used to the weight of a well-made, sturdy leash. I honestly think that Scout, (the best dog in the world) likes it also. He prances proudly. That said, Scout is an XL Dog. Aussie Cattle and Shephard Mix who weighs over 90 lbs. He can handle the weight of this leash. I adore the triangular padded handle, so much better on my arthritic hands. I think the second handle is marvelous. Scout is a friendly dog that thinks the whole world loves him, so he tends to want to stop and talk to every person we meet on our walks, especially when we do urban walks. I used to have to wrap the old leash around my arm to keep him centered next to me. Now, I just grab the second handle. So much easier!! I also think Scout is walking better. When I grab the second leash he stays right next to me and doesn't try to pull away. Yay!Well made, sturdy, stylish leash, that is a super great price.Scout approved!!

This leash is AMAZING. I use it to walk two different dogs 1 is a mastiff who is 150 pounds and 1 is a Rottweiler mix who is 80. The mastiff likes to pull you while your walking but this leash helps keep her in check. If you are on the fence about buying it don't be even the quality is good.Update I have since bought another one of these and my first one is still in great condition.

I use this product connected to a gentle leader for my labrador retriever Henry. He tends to pull most often around bicycles. This product alongside a gentle leader is great because it gives me more control. I no longer have to wrap a leash around my hand to have my dog closer to me when passing bikes or sharing the sidewalk with others. It is very strong I love the color. I recommend this to anyone with a big dog who is looking for a much better and comfortable walking experience.

I decided to buy this leash because my 1 year & 8 months Mini Goldendoodle loves to pull away, she also bit every other leash. This leash seems to be thicker, and stronger than most. The double handle is great, it allows me to have more control while walking her. She bit the leash the first day I used it but I sprayed a bit of vinager (which was recommended by our Petco trainer) and never again! I honestly love it.

I couldn't have found a leash to meet my needs better than this leash with its two padded handles. The leash is well-made and strong, but not too heavy. This is a huge plus for an 8-month old husky puppy who pulls like crazy (we're working on that) yet is still a fairly small dog. The shorter handle is the perfect length for me to keep her at my side in heeling position when we are in crowded areas, crossing busy streets, or when I take her for runs. The handle at the end of the leash is thoughtfully angled, making it even more comfortable than other leashes I've had with similar handles.I will be purchasing a second leash soon. Though the leash is very sturdy, it is not chew-proof (nothing is) and I made the mistake of leaving it within the puppy's reach when she was bored and I was preoccupied. Totally my own fault, though at least I caught it before it was completely compromised.

UPDATE 3/22/19: The knob on the hook broke off a few months ago. The spring and metal piece are still there, so now I just use my fingernail to open the hook to attach to collar. I’m surprised how well the fabric is holding up. No tears or fraying.ORIGINAL REVIEW: Really like this dog leash. It’s thick, but the handle makes it easy to hold. The handle reminds me of waterskiing. Also like the loop shorter down the leash so I can control my dog on a short leash if other dogs come around. He isn’t vicious, just likes to jump on them and play. Highly recommend this dog leash.

I got another brand of leash that had a second handle near the front, for my large dog. It was 8' though, which was a bit too long. It was "single layer" which isn't recommended for large dogs. The second handle was only connected at the end, so it flopped around. There's no little ring near the first handle that comes in handy for many situations. Also, handles weren't padded and extras secure. I thought it was great for the couple years I had it, but then I got this leash because I found a second dog (took a week to find the owner). I got this leash and realized that the other leash was just terribly cheap, but originally costs much more. I now recommend this leash to ALL my friends with larger dogs.

I have an 180+lbs English Mastiff mix doggo who likes to think he knows which direction we get to go randomly on walks. Needless to say he has ripped almost in half a regular size doggo leash with his "decision making" abilities. But not so much with this leash. This leash I'm confident in being able to walk my moose dog regardless if he wants to randomly turn around. He can tell I have a MUCH better grip on the leash so our walks have been going much smoother! Definitely buy if you have a big pup like me.
