Great color
I get compliments all the time on the color of these pants. To be precise, I'd call the color guava. Really comfortable too. They can be used in hot and cold weather. Put Long Johns on, and you're set for cold weather. Roll up the pant legs, and bring on the heat!No problem.Great pants. I'm wearing the olive green version right now. Sweet!

love em
We love this material. It is lightweight, perfect for travel wear, and very comfortable. For warmer weather, not for cold weather. If you get it wet, it dries quickly.

Fantastic Hot Weather Wear
I am a person who wears shorts a lot and am always hot. I never understood how anyone goes out in 95 degrees in jeans. Well finally I got my solution to go to a dinner or a club and not wear shorts. So comfortable and lightweight, and look great especially in subdued lights of these places. I ended up buying more colors. They run a little long, and don't shrink like jeans, so I would err on the side of shorter.

My husband loves these pants!
My husband love the fit and fabric of these pants. Perfect for weather that is neither cold nor warm. It’s for the in between temps and he absolutely loves wearing these comfortable hiking pants or just tooling around town pants.

Awesome!
I wore jeans most the time, including car or airplane travel. I bought this pair of hiking or utility pants and they are MUCH more comfortable when sitting for a while traveling! They are lightweight and have several secured pockets, including one that zipped. I used this to keep our passports safe.I ordered another pair!!

CHANGES
I've been wearing this style for probably 10 years if not more. Each time an old pair has to be replaced, there are some changes. This time the left cargo pocket has the zipper vertical. That's seems like it might be good because I always had trouble zipping the old horizontal pocket. BUT the pocket is smaller. I can barely squeeze my phone into it. So the pocket remains frustrating to use. Some changes I keep hoping they will make, never happen. The front pockets are too shallow., way too shallow. The fromt pockets on the shorts are way deeper and way more useful. Another thing is there aren't enough belt loops. If you need to tighten your belt, there are big gaps between the loops. Because of these gaps the belt rubs against your flesh rather than stay on the pants. no matter how many times you adjust to fix the problem the gaps just keep coming back. They also dropped the flap on the right back pocket. Not the worse thing but why drop a security feature?I have no idea how old my pants are. They lasted a long time so maybe they made these changes a while ago. The material of these pants is fantastic and 6 pockets are hard to find on other pants. Why would a company add cargo pockets and at the same time remove the back right pocket?

Seem like nice pants overall, missing some seams in key areas.
Good material and fit well, the pants did come with seams missing in pretty critical areas and returns for Amazon in my area are pretty complicated, so I’ll mend them myself.

Lite yet rugged pants
Columbia Men's Silver Ridge Utility Pant are lite yet rugged pants and work well for gardening, hiking and everyday use and I like the configuration of the pockets (Velcro on the right rear pocket would be good). There is the light whoosing sound as you walk, but that is the nature or the fabric. These were good value and I recommend this product.

Two features of note...
When I compare the same pants bought recently to a pair purchased three years ago in a yachting store, I noticed two differences:The fabric of the new pants (polyester) has a sandpaper feeling without the fine, soft-weave of the nylon ripstop in the older pair. The older pants have a velcro fastener flap over the right hip wallet pocket. Still worth the money.

Not perfect, but still great
Bought these for hot weather and they are indeed very breathable. Probably more so than any other pants i’ve tried. Only issue is that the legs are definitely on the baggy side. Also the weird vertical zipping pocket is a strange choice. If those two things were changed they’d be perfect I think.
