How to Build Max-Performance Ford FE Eng

Barry Robotnick, THE man when it comes to Ford FE engines. So much has changed in recent years that you really need this book if you're contemplating a high performance FE build. Barry can tell you from first hand experience what works, where to spend your money to get the best bang for your buck, etc. If you just want to do a stock rebuild there are better books out there, as he doesn't spend a lot of time on factory hardware. If you're looking to build a killer 500HP big block for your Mustang, Fairlane, Galaxy, F-series, etc. this book is for you. For years people scoffed at the FE as outdated and not worth the effort. There has been a serious revival in recent years, and there is no better time than right now to be building an FE engine. The FE once dominated the race tracks, now it can do so again, and also dominate the streets. There's a lot of very good engineering and engine building information in here too. If you've read as many engine books as I have you take something away from every one that is applicable to any engine. Barry's years in the industry give you some real insight into certain components and their engineering that will help make you a better engine builder for any make. Great read, great information, all I can say is Barry, thanks for sharing!

Very informative

Lots of needed info

I would highly recommend this book for anyone starting to build a Ford FE engine. Especially recommend for high performance builds. In my case, I am not the actual builder for my engine, however the shop that is doing my build took my copy of the book and is usiing it as a refresher for themselves. If anyone has done very much research into building an FE engine, they have surely come across the name of the author, Mr. Barry Robotnik. In the book he uses his extensive background and knowledge of the FE engine to describe in detailed fashion the important and critical points that must be addressed during an FE build. He stresses the importance of these details and explains the whats and the whys of each.Included are many many photographs to help clarify the issues. Again, this is an excellent book for a slightly experienced builder or even a professional engine builder who hasn't built an FE engine for awhile. Money well spent for anyone.

This is a very insightful book if you are looking to build a street engine with some major deviations from a pure stock rebuild. It will help you choose components that make sense for your goals. The data presented in the book are all backed up by experiance and testing of the author, so I think the data and recommendations are authoritative. I still recommend buying a shop manual or another book dedicated to the step-by-step rebuilding process to go aong with this one.

Nice quality fair price

With all the different variants of the 'FE' motor, it's good to have a resource that describes them all.

Barry is the man! I picked this book up in 2013 when I just purchased by FE-powered Thunderbird. I used this book to guide me through the engine build. Be warned though, this book will persuade you into building an FE monster whether you want to or not! I likely could have been satisfied with a stock rebuild, but this book made me hungry for more power and now I have a 445-ci fire breathing monster of a motor!

Great book and fabulous information for getting more horsepower out of a FE build. I also bought Barry’s other authored book on how to rebuild a Ford FE Engines. These two go hand in hand with excellent information.

Since my son is overhauling a FT 330 engine he wanted to get more knowledge about this block and fount though an American website these books. These are quite interesting and give quite a lot of data, required for the wright installation of this FE 330 block.
