Migration failure and misleading drive warnings
I bought this unit after my previous Synology device stopped functioning suddenly. I expected the migration process to be straightforward using Synology’s migration tools, but unfortunately, the migration failed, and I would have lost all of my data if I had not been maintaining an off-site backup. Restoring the data from my remote backup took around 12 days. Adding an additional disk to the array took around five days, which was disappointing given that this is supposed to be a higher-end Synology model. The overall setup process therefore, took well over two weeks. It is also worth noting that the DS1823xs+ does not support Synology Hybrid RAID (SHR), even though many cheaper Synology models do. This reduces flexibility when expanding storage. Finally, while Synology now technically allows the use of non-Synology hard drives, the system marks them with red warnings and reports the overall system health as “Warning”, even when the drives are functioning perfectly. This makes the NAS appear to be in a fault state when it is not. Given that I have now had two Synology NAS devices fail, and that I would have lost my data without an independent off-site backup, along with the ongoing issues with rebuild times and misleading drive warnings, I would be hesitant to purchase another Synology device.

Ottimo NAS ma NON COMPATIBILE a tutti i dischi ti i dischi
I Dischi sono ottimi...anche se purtroppo il NAS SYNOLOGY DS1823XS mi avvisa che il pool di Dischi è a rischio perché non verificato e NON COMPATIBILI con questo NAS ...ma funzionano lo stesso !

Un prix de fou pour des performances dingue
Après un mois d'utilisation je suis très content de mon achat. - 8 Ssd Samsung SSD 870 EVO en raid F1 - 2 NVMe Samsung 980 PRO pour le cache - 2 Kingston Server Premier 16GB 3200MHz DDR4 ECC Vitesse en un Imac pro M2 en 10 Gbp et le serveur proche du max de la vitesse du réseau (voir copie d’écran). J'ai quand même changer les deux ventilateurs par des Noctua NF-A12x25 PWM pour un silence total. Résultat des performances au top dans un silence incroyable.

Mein letztes Synology NAS
Technisch ein gutes Produkt insbesondere mit dem DSM Betriebssystem und guten und breiten Software Lösungen für viele Anforderungen. Jetzt kommt das große aber, die Zwangsbindung an die überteuerten Sysnology Festplatten, SSD und Ram ist ein Ausschlusskriterium. Selbst hochwertige, professionelle Festplatten und SSD, welche expliziet für den NAS Einsatz geeignet sind, erzeugen Fehlermeldungen oder sind in ihrem Einsatz eingeschränkt. Wenn Geld keine Rolle spielt kann man das gerne machen, ansonsten ist die Gängelung des Nutzers zur Gewinnmaximierung ein no go! Wird damit leider mein letztes Synology NAS sein!
