Excellent Value for the Price – Perfect for Everyday Use!
I recently purchased this TV while was on sale has I was looking for new one for my bedroom I’m genuinely impressed with the quality it delivers at such an affordable price The built in smart features are a huge plus It comes with all the major streaming apps pre installed Netflix, Prime Video, YouTube, and more. The interface is user friendly and the remote with voice control (Alexa) makes navigating menus and searching for content incredibly easy sound quality is also surprisingly good It’s loud enough and doesn’t sound tinny Setup was quick and painless plug it in, connect to Wi-Fi sign in to your apps, and you're ready to go The build feels solid and well made for the price point Overall this TV exceeded my expectations It's perfect for anyone who wants reliable performance without spending a fortune Highly recommended!

Streaming Straight to the Point
The Amazon Fire TV 40‑inch Series 2 has fired up our living room in no time. The built‑in Fire platform makes streaming shows and apps effortless—no extra boxes or cables needed—so setup was a breeze and content is just a click away. Picture quality is clear for everyday viewing, and the 40‑inch size hits a nice balance for medium rooms. While the TV is on the basic side and occasionally slow to respond, it still delivers reliable access to all the major streaming services, which keeps binge‑watching frustration to a minimum. Overall, it’s practical, functional, and perfect for anyone wanting the convenience of Amazon’s ecosystem without fuss. A simple, solid choice that keeps entertainment on fire without overcomplicating things.

Brilliant TV
Brilliant TV. At first it's a bit laggy but that's during set up when it's updating the system after that it's nice and smooth. If you hold the home button on the remote it brings up a quick settings menu which shows settings for picture, sound, input and your installed apps which is nice. The picture has a few different picture modes and the sound does also. HDR is a bonus, especially if you are a gamer like me. I've found the best settings for gaming are: Picture mode: PC. Backlight: 100. Smart HDR: on. Brightness settings: contrast: 50. Colour settings: saturation: 50. White balance: colour temperature: standard. The colour temperature is set to warm by default but it gives the picture a yellow/orange tint. The weight of the TV is like a feather. When the delivery driver handed the box to me I thought they had forgot to put the TV in the box lol. The TV not having an aux port wasn't a problem for me as when I'm gaming I can plug my gaming headset into the controller. When I watch something at night I connect my Alexa ear buds to the TV since the TV has built in Bluetooth. The controller isn't too big, it's nice and sleek. The instructions only tell you basic things so I advise you to spend time looking through settings. They are features which could increase power usage, which it will inform you with a pop up if that's the case. Eg auto power off after the TV isn't in use for a while. After my purchase I would have bought this for the original £299.99, I was lucky enough to get it on offer for £199.99 at 5 monthly payments of £40. Highly recommend!

All round quality
This little tv has it all. Easy to set up and connect instructions were so easy to follow.brilliant colour quality and the sound is not insignificant. Lots of built in features but also can download other apps. Has Bluetooth so was able to connect my headphones. It is all as it was advertised as on Amazon web page. Not all tv's are equal to this Amazon fire... A lot of tv's don't have Bluetooth so can't set up headphones. Also not all tv's let you download ops like this one. I could sing praises all evening long but will give someone else the pleasure of finding out. And the price is PHENOMENAL!! I wouldn't have minded paying more😃

Abysmal. Don't waste your money.
Initially, this TV seemed great: easy to set up, great sound and picture quality and didn't take ages to start up when switched on. However, after only 8 months, start up became very sluggish. A little over a year since purchase and the set is glitch-ridden and has an annoying intermittent habit of re-starting itself or turning off completely after just a few minutes. At first this only affected live channels, but it now happens at random on any app. Clearing caches makes no difference. It doesn't seem to be an issue with the sleep timer (and why can't this feature be turned off, by the way, Amazon?) as it turns off at random regardless of the time set. I have tried all the options (update, restart, check connections, turn off and on again) suggested by Amazon's AI assistant to no avail, and Customer Support chat is a joke. After some variations on the "turn it off and on again" theme, they suggested I either: a) Restore factory settings or (wait for it) b) Deactivate my existing Amazon account and re-register with Amazon. Neither option was guaranteed to fix the issue, while both would cause maximum inconvenience to me (and option b didn't seem relevant at all) Since Customer Support said that the aerial on my house was probably faulty, I had it replaced, but it didn't fix the issue. I am now about to scrap the wretched TV set and buy another smart TV, NOT from Amazon. Nothing would induce me to buy another Fire TV set. The product, and Amazon Customer Support, is abysmal - don't waste your money.
