Well designed LED panel that fits on my Gorilla Pod
Firstly this LED panel has countless settings and parameters, more than I'll ever be able to use no doubt! I imagine for someone well versed with this equipment you'll have a field day when using it to produce content etc.Worth mentioning early on that you'll need a USB-C plug or USB-C to USB cable in order to use this, a mild inconvenience as I had neither to hand so wasn't able to operate out of the box...First impressions were the build quality is good, the unit itself is extremely light which had me questioning the quality at first but then come to the conclusion that this is by design and is a definite positive. The unit is compatible with my Gorilla Pod so very versatile and extremely portable. In terms of actual light output and functionality this is a huge improvement on the ring light I previously used to create content and will for the most part be replacing it for the majority of my work. The quality of the light is very impressive and the brightness and adjustability is on point, especially for it's size and weight. You can use this perfectly with a power bank which means it truly is portable! I do wish they'd have included a power adapter though and I have to remove a star for it not being usable out of the box.

Portable LED Light Panel
The quality of the Led Panel Light is just ok, it is nothing special in my opinion. This panel is made of plastic and is extremely lightweight it feels sturdy but it feels like it is made from cheap plastic BUT this is why the light is so lightweight and personally I think I would rather it feels not that great in the hand but is lightweight. This is a very good size light panel but due to its size it is not something you would want to attach to your camera this is meant for a tripod/light stand and has two 1/4 threaded holes so the light can be mounted horizontally or vertically which is a nice touch. The light has a colour temperature of 2500 to 6500 which is a good range and is very bright when put on 100%. Also has nine light effects which is a nice bonus. You have three ways you can power this light panel first it comes with a USB-C to UCB-C cable so you can connect it to a plug and connect to a wall socket. Second you can connect the USB-C cable to a power bank, Third you can connect a battery to it this is a truly portable light. I have tested it using a NP-970 battery and I can confirm it works BUT the battery is heavier than the light so this is something to keep in mind if you need to watch the overall weight.Overall I am happy with the light.

Nice, lightweight light
This light is a really lightweight panel, I actually think my battery is heavier than the light itself.Plug in via supplied usb c cable (handy to use with a powerbank) or use a battery.the light at both ends of the colour temps is pleasant and at 100% it kicks out plenty of light. At about 15% it's useable as a video/photo light without blinding the subject. The beauty button on it allows you to store a setting you want to be able to quickly return to.It has some of the usual video effects too like TV, candle, Lightning etc. It's very light to carry and thin which makes it easy to slip into a bag.The build quality is good, it feels slightly plastic (makes sense with how lightweight it is), buttons feel a bit clunky and the rotating dimmer on the back feels a little rough on turning. The light it gives out is pleasant and it's really bright. Definitely a kit bag staple.

Let there be light!
SmallRig have been slowly building up an impressive array of useful accessories for photographers and videographers, and this highly adaptable, large but lightweight LED panel is a great new addition to their range. The well padded box houses the panel itself, a generously long USB-C power cable and an instruction manual. The supplied cable is USB-C on both ends, so you might find you need to purchase either a USB-C wall plug, or a USB-C to USB cable depending on your connectivity situation. Considering the price of this unit and the relatively low cost of another cable or wall plug, it would've been nice if SmallRig had included them. I did notice the box and instructions have a redacted entry that seems to say a power adaptor plug is included. There's a clear place for it in the box, but it seems SmallRig must've had a change of plan and opted to omit it, which is a shame. It would perhaps also have been nice if SmallRig had included a carry pouch to protect the panel.I tested the panel running from a USB wall plug and from a power bank, and it worked flawlessly with both. The panel can also be run from an NP-F lithium battery, but that isn't included, and I don't have one to test it with. Having the unit be totally wireless does seem like a good option though.Construction of the panel is good. It's perhaps a bit on the plasticky side, but that's to be expected given how lightweight it is. I'm not sure how well it would cope with being dropped, but it's certainly robust enough for regular use and will stand up to being stuffed in a bag. Thankfully, despite the plastic construction, the two threaded tripod mounts are metal, so you don't have to worry about those wearing down or snapping. It's pretty easy and straight forward to operate. Using the dial on the back (erroneously labelled "volume"), you can dial in a specific colour temperature and then tweak the brightness. The rear backlit LCD display clearly shows the current settings. The light temperature gamut produced by the panel is very good, ranging from a 2500K yellow warm white to a 6500K near blue cool white. It's also very bright. Even on 40 - 50% it's bright enough to illuminate a close subject well enough for photography. Thanks to the built in diffuser, it's a nice even light too, with no annoying pooling or hot spots. Great for portraiture photography, or for using as a beauty light for video calls and vlogging. There are several special effect lighting settings built in, mimicking things like lightning and hazard lights, which could prove useful for video work.Overall, it's a pretty impressive and useful light panel. At the current price of £59.90, it's on par with other similar sized panels on the market, so, niggles aside, I'm happy to recommend this one.

Good quality & lightweight LED panel
This is a versatile, well built LED panel. Adjustable brightness and light enough to carry around. I’ve mounted it separately to my camera but it would be light enough to go on a rig without too much bother. The adjustable brightness has a great range ; the quality of the light is really good. Can run off mains / USB powebank or you can attach a battery so versatile options for power as well.Overall a great quality light which I’ve enjoyed using for making videos…highly recommended 👍🏾
