A solid tool that does the job. I had a standard size SIM that had already been manually cut down into a micro SIM but which had some rough uneven edges that needed to be cut again into a nano SIM for a new phone.I was able to force it into the smallest of the three SIM chambers (the rough edges meant it was a tighter than normal fit) and was then able to simply press down on the tool which resulted in a nice and fairly clean cut nano SIM. The included sander came in handy so that I could then smooth down the edges and corners a bit for a perfect fit.Job done.I can safely recommend this product to anyone in need of a SIM card cutting tool. Good packaging and very sturdy and fool proof.

Excellent ... I bought my 80 year old Mom her first smart phone so needed to get her old sim card changed to fit the Micro sim of her new phone. Problem is we live in Spain. Moms phone is on Orange UK now EE.and they wont ship replecement sims to Spain only within the UK !!! plus they say my Mom would have to change her Orange PAYG sim to the EE PAYG. So I spent many hours researching sim cutter and came across this product. I paid extra for next day delivery from UK to Spain but it was held up by the carriers, no fault on the suppliers. I quick email to Amazon and my extra shipping cost refunded. Cutter arrived and hardly any instructions but quick search of Youtube and all the cutters seem to follow the same principle. There have been negative reviews about bad cutting and sloppy fit of the sim card in the slots of the cutter but I did not find this a problem. Just insert the sim fully home and check it is straight. Close eyes and press down on the cuttier handle. Pop out comes the new sized sim no jagged edges and perfect fit in new mobile, You get included a small file for smoothing the "ragged" edges. (my cut card was fine) and some sim adaptors for to put nano sim and micro sim back to standard sim. All in all a quality product, good heavy weight to it, solid, sharp cutters... perfect. One happy Mom learning how to use Whatsapp :)

I bought this device to cut a standard size Vodafone SIM card to micro format for a new PAYG smart phone. It was only after cutting my SIM card I noticed it had a push-out piece in nano SIM CARD size. Despite this, the cut was clean and allowed the nano SIM card to be put back into the reduced size carrier to fit the micro SIM card slot in my new phone.This SIM card cutter is very easy to use. The cutting lever is marked to show the direction and orientation for the insertion of SIM cards to be cut. I did have a practise cut on a time expired old SIM card to make sure the cutter worked as claimed. This cutter is worth every penny to get a modern SIM-free unlocked phone working in place of an old one. I highly recommend it.

I cut 2 BSNL standard sims to nano size with this tool and it worked. However, I had to sand one long side before I put the sim in the slot for cutting, by probably 0.5 mm, so that the cutter wouldn’t slice away a piece of the chip. Anyway I did that and the sim was cut cleanly and working in the new phone, which is the greatest thing.

Approached with trepidation but was pleasantly surprised by the quality and ease of use. I was cutting a micro SIM to a nano SIM and I found that great care was needed in locating the SIM properly and then ensuring that when the cutter was turned over that the SIM hadn't moved. The resultant nano SIM fitted fine ,I did sandpaper it just a little.

Bought this to reduce my sim card for another phone. Was a bit worried incase I messed up but was delighted that it worked as it should. The only downside was the lack of instructions, but careful studying of the product, it showed which way to put the sim card in.

Handy sim cutter - don't need it often, but when I do it works really well.

I've only used this once, to trim my existing micro SIM down to nano size for a phone upgrade, and it worked. Most new sims are supplied to fit nanos, but mine wasn't, so I needed something like this. The new phone works perfectly with the old trimmed down sim.
