This Thing works AWESOME
So far so good! I have had several other brands and they all seem to die in a year so I guess time will tell on that, but overall this thing has done a great job keeping the humidity at a level that has kept my shop in a comfortable state due to some comfort setting that it has on it. It links to the app that the sensors I use to monitor the crawlspace humidity so I have every GOVEE device literally at my finger tips, along with the data needed to see what is going on.I bought this and added a humidistat and temp reader from GOVEE and so I am able to monitor the shop without going out there. It shows on the app when it is running and what it is set at, and you can change it on there too. This unit also has a lock out feature which is amazing because my little boy killed my last dehumidifier out there by climbing around it (he isn't supposed to be around it, but curiously he made his way over there to hide from dad and watch him work :) ) and he switched the continuous run option on which I had no idea of. With that app on this one I can always see what it is on, and it shows up with the crawlspace sensors which I check on frequently. It is certainly quiet, smooth operation, looks great, and I have it dumping the water out of a hose so I don't have the too small of a drain tub issue others seem to have. This unit is smaller than what I need but has done the work without issues spending more time off than on. Very impressed!

Better than expected!
I've only had this dehumidifier for a month and i love it! I got it because this small 110sq ft room with 7ft ceilings has this giant steam radiator and when it goes off, you can see the water running down the walls. I just wanted to get some of that moisture out of the air in this room, but this little giant works so well, it dehumidifies by whole entire tiny 420sq ft apartment.PROS - Effective, uses only 200w, not too loud, works with the Govee Home app, i got it on sale for $140 so fantastic value.CONS - Small collection drawer. I have to empty it maybe 4 times a day. It could have been a bit bigger for sure. Especially for the power this unit has.The hygrometer on the unit seems to be off by 2% and there's no way to calibrate it. With the other hygrometer/temperature sensors that Govee makes, you can calibrate the humidity and tempWhen you go to empty the tray and you turn off the unit give it a few minutes to let the residual water in the pipes drift down into the bucket otherwise when you pull the bucket out it's going to drip on your floor.

You will need to use the "drain" feature as the catch compartment is way too small
This works extremely well. The "SMART" feature helps me to check on it without going down to the basement... and I can put it on a timer if I want. The significant con though is that the catch bucket is WAY too small. It is also oddly shaped so it is hard to pour out without spilling. Frankly, if you are using this, you should plan on placing this near a floor drain (or by a sink, elevated so it can drain into the sink). If you don't, you will find yourself dumping the reservoir 3-4 times a day. You will get an alert on your phone when it is time to do this... but then you have to do and do it.My wife wanted to use the water to water her plants, but it just got to be a bit ridiculous to constantly have to empty it. I guess, this is a good thing that it pulls so much water from the air.I am happy with my purchase.

A swing and a miss, or not functioning properly?
They advertise as being a good option for basements. This is not the case. Atleast the one I have isn't.I bought this dehumidifier for a pretty small basement, it's half the footprint of my home. I dont get much water in there, but had humidity in the 60-70% range. When I turned this thing on, it held it on the lower end, so 60%. I have it constantly draining into a floor drain, and keep up with cleaning the filter. Never has it gone below 60% and the humidity has been gradually creeping up higher.I really wanted this to work as I like govees products, but this dehumidifier has kind of soured the brands name for me. Guess I'll stick to their lighting.

Works great for a large room!
I was surprised that such a small unit would be able to dry out my recently flooded basement. It works great! My room is about 400-500 square feet, and it does a great job with this! I bought a longer hose on Amazon for it to empty to my sump pit, for the water collection basket is tiny. Having it this way really makes it a hands-free device, and it has been maintaining at 35 for a few months now. So glad I bought this

Great dehumidifier for the price, although small collection tray.
It's definitely a great dehumidifier for what you pay, although the humidity sensor seems to disagree with the hydrometer that I have from Govee as well. If you plan on getting this for an area you don't frequent often, I do NOT advise you get this. The tray is pretty small and it requires frequent emptying.

Very small tank
Don't get confused like I did. I had never purchased a dehumidifier before. I didn't realize the giant 50 pints in the ad was the max amount of moisture it would pull from the air and not the capacity of the water receptacle. It will indeed pull 50 pints. And its fairly quiet on low. My problem is that apparently my dank and musty closet needs it to work at it's full capacity to stay around 50% humidity. Which means I need to empty that bucket 3 times a day because it only holds 4 pints (about a half gallon). That stupidly shaped, spoutless bucket that I have yet to empty without splashing water everywhere. The nearest drain is about 15 feet and I don't want a garden hose running through my dressing room. I bought it because it was discounted and I could get it quickly. Lesson learned. I'd say buy if you have a nearby drain or you need WAY less than 50 pints of dehumidifying a day. The smart stuff works fine but I'm sick of feeling like an on-call water girl. I'll be spending my time between notifications looking for something with a larger bucket.
