Great for dark coloured eggs
Great candler, really bright and probably one of the most effective ones I’ve used. Can see through even the darkest brown eggs. Batteries lasted a good amount of time too.

Simple and effective
This year I have hatched a few batches of guineafowl eggs. It was my first time incubating them and they have really thick shells so it can be tricky to candle them. I had started out using a normal torch which was fiddly and not that effective. This egg candler made it a lot easier and gave me confidence in what I was seeing. It is very simple to use, has a nice sturdy base and the rubber attachments give a secure fit over the light so you get a really clear view inside the egg. I wish I'd bought it right at the start now, it would have saved some uncertainty.

Good product, didn't light up egg as displayed
Product would have been fantastic, only it didn't give off enough light to enable a clear vision for quail eggs. The light needs to be brighter. Seller fantastic, gave refund and accepted return. Product probably good for eggs without bloom markings

Good candler for 1st timer
Got this for a first time hatch, works much better than a phone light - handy hang different holders for different size eggs. I could see the air sack clearly and will be checking again on day 7 if everything is as it should then the 5* review will remain - I’ll update if not!

Perfect item
My Maran had been sitting on her eggs for a while, and due to this my egg production was not up to its usual amount each day. When she got off to go eat, I took the eggs inside, and discovered thy were all transparent, so knew no chicks were inside, and could then destroy them, and keep her out of the coup from then on. A simple gadget which worked wonders, really pleased with this item, highly recommend to the amateur hen keeper!

Great candling kit
This is a pretty small item, which is great as I didn't want this to take up lots of room. Clearly shows the progression of each egg's development (much better than a phone torch I was using prior) so very happy. Comes with batteries so could use it as soon as it arrived.

Almost Essential if You are Hatching Eggs!
100% accurate by day five! Like some other reviewers I initially thought I would make do with a bright torch as is recommended in lots of books but technology has obviously moved on since the books were written as the Titan Egg Candler leaves no doubts whatsoever whether your egg is fertile or not. By day five you can clearly see the dark form of the growing chick as well as a maze of bright red blood vessels leading off from it. At this stage I could even identify the eye and beak which is unbelievable to see. By day ten you can see the definite shape of a chick curled around the inside of the egg, with beak, eyes and legs. By day 15 you see much less as the chick is taking up nearly all the space apart from air sack. It is very reassuring to see the chick moving inside the egg as well, as you know then that the egg is not only fertile but healthy. If the egg is infertile the light just shines through the egg and it looks 'empty'. I've already recommended this to all my 'chicken' friends and I would consider it a fairly essential bit of kit if you are intending hatching chicks with an incubator or like me with a broody!

Titan incubator high intensity egg candler
Fantastic. my first time hatching eggs in a incubator. This was great as we saw each stage of them growing. Even when the last one was a bit late and thought it had died, we candled it and saw her moving. It really was great for the grandchildren to watch them growing in the egg, and it stopped we from worrying. I got 3 out of 3 hatch. Brill cant wait for next time.
