Homecraft Non-Slip Safety Step Stool with Handle for Bathroom, With Rail, Kitchen, Slippery Floor

The first review I read said this item arrives assembled (a review apparently by the supplier!). IT DOES NOT, Once assembled a good sturdy product. However it arrives in 4 pieces with 9 nuts, 4 bolts and 8 washers. Whilst fairly simple to assemble you do need a Phillips screwdriver and the relevant spanner (the spanner supplied is not good). For a disabled or elderly person this could be difficult. Hence only 3 stars.

Well designed and solidly made. The only reason for deducting one star was the difficulty assembling it due to the poor quality of the spanner supplied (which was little more than a toy and not fit for purpose). and the fact that one of the nuts was not self-locking, which is essential for safety, and didn't even fit the bolt because the pitch of the thread was different. I suspect that this was due to poor quality-control by the manufacturer.In short, you should only buy this item if you already have a set of good quality spanners and are prepared to make up for any deficiencies in the nuts and bolts supplied. I have not yet been able to find a replacement self-locking nut, and for the time being at least the stool may not be safe to use.

I bought this for my husband to use to reach the top of the kitchen cupboards. It was easy enough to assemble apart from 1 nut which would not go on as there was a bit of metal preventing it going on, so just file it of or use a different nut. We are both using it much more than anticipated, It's so handy and takes up little space, so we just leave it out. Used to change light bulbs, cupboards. Changing curtains ect. And the handle is very good. Really good buy.

Certainly a very sturdy product, but advertised as having chrome legs, whereas the stool that arrived has white legs. Same price charged.

This is an excellent product, really helps getting in and out of the bath.

No assembly. Very sturdy. Bought to get in and out of bath after breaking my wrist. Light enough to pick up with one hand. Use around the house for odd jobs as just high enough to reach cupboards. Better than step ladder, which I fell off, as you can hold bar to steady yourself.

It said it was coming already assembled it did not and put it together as a bit of a task for me me as my right hand and left hand do not work very well would not recommend this to anyone with a disability and live by themselves
