Quartz Clock insertion movement 65mm

It has brought the mantle clock back to life as I have finally find a perfectly-sized insert. tbh it may not be the best ever quality, but it looks the part and is amazing value given the high cost included for the postage. Am very, very happy. Thanks.

They keep good time

It was a replacement for a clock which was not operating well. I needed to remove the rubber surround from the old clock to put around the new one to improve the fit - the spring fitting clips on the new clock were not able to keep it in position.

This clock is so very flimsy I don't think it would last long at all. The prongs on the back are long so it would need work to fit it in the base. The biggest problem is that the battery space is too small so Energiser AAA batteries do not fit in. Not fit for purpose. I am returning it for credit as the supplier stonewalled when I asked for exchange.

The clock is more flimsy than I had anticipated. This is the second replacement insert I have had in an antique style clock in 30 years. It has recesses for the springs at the positions 12, 4 and 8 on the clock face (which the original and my last replacement had), but this clock had the springs at positions 10, 2 and 6 - and so would slot in well into the clock, but obviously the face was upside down, with 6 at the top! It would have been OK if the clock face itself could have been twisted round, but it is card, stuck down and would have torn if I had tried to lift it. In the end I had to remove the springs and put an elastic band around the clock and secure it in the hole that way. The knob that you turn to alter the time came off in my hand the first time it was turned, and the rim and plastic 'glass' covering the clock face fell off as soon as I tried to slot the clock into position. So the whole clock just feels less solid than the one it replaced. But once in position, it looks good, keeps good time, and has a reassuring tick which suits an old style clock, I just would have preferred it to have been better made as it falls apart once touched. Hopefully this only needs to be twice a year when the clocks change or to replace the battery.

The movement in my Past Times clock packed up just after their shops went bust, so I couldn't return it. Very pleased to find this replacement. Initially, the spring clips meant it kept popping out of the hole in the clock casing, but I just removed the clips with a pair of pliers and replaced them with the rubber band from the original movement and got a perfect fit!!

Very happy with this to replace a broken one. It has a nice, clear clock face and a second hand too. It also arrived earlier than the estimated delivery time.

Looks nice for the price, but very poorly made and stopped working after less than a week.
